Pennsylvania Route 154
Pennsylvania Route 154 (PA 154) is a northwest-southeast state highway located in northern Pennsylvania. The southern terminus is at U.S. Route 220 (US 220) in Laporte. The northern terminus of the route is at PA 414 in Canton. The road is called South Minnequa Avenue for half a mile at its northern terminus in Canton. It then becomes Lake Hill Road for two miles (3 km), and later Wheelerville Mountain Road for three miles (5 km). It goes through the small villages of Wheelerville, Shunk, Lincoln Falls, and Estella before going down a hill toward Forksville. It serves as a corner of Church Street in Forksville, just south of its brief intersection with PA 87. The road then zig zags (concurring with PA 87), crossing the Little Loyalsock Creek in the process. Pennsylvania Route 642 (PA 642) is a state highway located in Union, Northumberland, Montour, and Columbia Counties in Pennsylvania. The western terminus is at the intersection of Third Street and Broad Street in West Milton near an interchange with U.S. Route 15 (US 15). The eastern terminus is at PA 254 and PA 44 in Jerseytown. Route description PA 642 begins at a signalized intersection where Third Street (designated SR 1101 by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)) and Broad Street (SR 1004) in the community of West Milton in Kelly Township, Union County. The intersection is located just east of an interchange with the US 15 freeway. Third Street is a former section of US 15 and is used to access the northbound lanes of the freeway. Towanda Creek
Towanda Creek is a tributary of the Susquehanna River in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately long and flows through Canton Township, Canton, Leroy Township, Franklin Township, and Monroe Township. Course Towanda Creek begins on a hill in southwestern Canton Township, near the border between Bradford County and Lycoming County. The creek flows northwest off the hill and then turns north, flowing parallel to Pennsylvania Route 14. After several miles, it turns east and passes through the community of Canton and continues east. The creek then receives the tributary Mill Creek and shortly afterwards receives Alba Creek and Beech Flats Creek. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Forksville Covered Bridge
The Forksville Covered Bridge is a Burr arch truss covered bridge over Loyalsock Creek in the borough of Forksville, Sullivan County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was built in 1850 and is in length. The bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The Forksville bridge is named for the borough it is in, which in turn is named for its location at the confluence or "forks" of the Little Loyalsock and Loyalsock Creeks. Pennsylvania had the first covered bridge in the United States and the most such bridges in both the 19th and 21st centuries. They were a transition between stone and metal bridges, with the roof and sides protecting the wooden structure from weather.
