Penn State Ice Pavilion
The Penn State Ice Pavilion was a 1,350-seat ice arena on the campus of The Pennsylvania State University located in University Park, Pennsylvania, United States. The ice arena included an NHL regulation sized 200' x 85' ice sheet as well as a 45' x 55' studio ice sheet. The Ice Pavilion, also known as Greenberg, has since been converted into two distinct spaces. Greenberg building, which is located where the full size rink used to be, is a two-story transitional laboratory facility designed to house research activities while facilities are built and/or renovated. Morgan Academic Center, located where the previous studio rink and common area used to be, was opened in June 2016. It has approximately 32,000 square feet of academic support space for use of over 800 student-athletes across 31 teams. The Penn State Lady Lions basketball team represents Pennsylvania State University and plays its home games in the Bryce Jordan Center. In 2013, the Lady Lions became just the 12th program in NCAA Division I history to reach 850 wins. Penn State has won 8 regular season Big Ten titles and the first 2 Big Ten tournament titles in 1995 and 1996. Prior to joining the Big Ten, the Lady Lions competed in the Atlantic 10 conference. The Penn State Nittany Lions basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team representing the Pennsylvania State University. They are a member of the Big Ten Conference and play home games at the 15,261-seat Bryce Jordan Center, moving there from Rec Hall during the 1995–96 season. Their student cheering section is known as the Legion of Blue. The program has nine NCAA tournament appearances with its best finish coming in 1954, reaching the Final Four. Its most recent appearance was in 2011, when the team lost to the Temple Owls in the round of 64. The Bryce Jordan Center is a 15,261-seat multi-purpose arena in University Park, Pennsylvania, United States, on the University Park campus of the Pennsylvania State University. The arena opened in 1996 and is the largest such venue between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. It replaced Rec Hall as the home to the Nittany Lions men's and women's basketball teams, the Pride of the Lions Pep Band, and its student section, Legion of Blue. Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association
The Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (MACH) is a college ice hockey league based in the Southeastern region of the United States. The conference is part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 2 and is made up of five teams from colleges and universities based in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Format Each team plays every team in their division twice throughout the season. Only divisional games are counted towards standings. All five teams, regardless of point total, are eligible to qualify for league playoffs. The 4th and 5th seeds play in a wildcard match, to see who advances to the playoffs. The two winners of the semifinal games meet to determine the league championship. League and non-conference games are taken into consideration to qualify for the ACHA Division II Regional & National Tournaments.
