Nathan Penlington (born in Rhyl, North Wales), is a writer, poet, live literature producer and magician. His work has appeared on stage, in print and on the radio. Ross Penlington
Ross Grange Penlington (; 3 March 1931 – 2001) was a former Court of Appeal Judge in Hong Kong. He was also the Commanding Officer of the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force from 1975 – 1983. Penlington was later appointed to be the Honorary Air Commodore of the Force. Penlington was born on 3 March 1931 in Christchurch, New Zealand. His father was Cedric Grange Penlington and his mother was Elsie May (). He received his education at Elmwood Primary School, Christ's College, and the University of Canterbury; he graduated with an LLB in 1955. Justice Peter Penlington KC (born 1932), also from Christchurch, is his second cousin. As the Chairman of the Hong Kong Air Transport Licensing Authority in the later 1970s and early 1980s, he had presided over licensing applications which involved BCAL, Cathay, BA, Laker. William Penlington (mayor)
William Penlington (1832 – 26 October 1899) was a sawmiller and builder from Akaroa, New Zealand. A member of the Akaroa Borough Council for over two decades, he was mayor of Akaroa for two terms. Early life Penlington was born in Berkshire in 1832. His father was a warehouseman in London. He received a private education and trained as a builder. He arrived in Lyttelton on the ''Egmont'' on 23 December 1856, the same ship that brought out Bishop Harper and his family. After travelling through Canterbury and Otago, he settled in Akaroa. Professional life and community engagement In Akaroa, Penlington had a sawmill and he was a builder. His notable buildings include the court house, the Oddfellows' Hall, the parsonage of and the transepts for St Peter's Church, the hospital and the school. William Penlington (teacher)
William Arthur Greener Penlington (8 October 1890 – 5 August 1982) was a New Zealand school principal and educationalist. Penlington was born at Akaroa on Banks Peninsula, New Zealand in 1890 to an early settler family. His grandfather, William Penlington, was a sawmiller and mayor of Akaroa, and his father—also named William Penlington—was a compositor. Peter Penlington QC and Ross Penlington were sons of two cousins; both were judges. During World War I he was a captain in the New Zealand Rifle Brigade. After the war his rank was raised temporarily to Major in the resettlement and rehabilitation effort.
