Penjara F.C.
Penjara Football Club is a Malaysian football club based in Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia. They currently play in the fourth-tier division in Malaysian football, the Shah Amateur League. They have recently played in the third-tier division in Malaysian football, the Malaysia FAM League from 2015 until 2017. The team was established as part of Malaysian Prison Department Sports Council. The Prisons were first known to play football sometime in the 1950s. However, not many records are kept or known. 2019 Malaysia M3 League
The 2019 Malaysia M3 League was the 1st season of the Malaysia M3 League that replaced the former Malaysia FAM League. Establishment and format This season saw a revamp of the competition's format by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). Announced earlier on 24 November 2018 by FAM deputy president Yusoff Mahadi, the format of the new season was outlined in a meeting by FAM's Local Competition Committee and were announced in a media statement on 19 December 2018. The format will be reverted to a straight knock-out tournament format (a format used before 2008), as opposed to the league format used since 2008. 64 teams competed for the FAM Cup, including 6 teams confirmed earlier to participate in the Malaysia FAM Cup, and teams promoted to the 2019 Malaysia Premier League. Kajang
Kajang is a town in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council. Kajang town is located on the eastern banks of the Langat River. It is surrounded by Cheras, Semenyih, Bangi, Putrajaya and Serdang. According to the 2020 census, the local authority area (which includes Kajang) has a population of 1.05 million people. Etymology The name ''Kajang'' is believed to have originated from the language of Temuan tribes ( Orang Asli) who populated the Langat valley in the 17th-18th centuries. The FAM Cup (Malay: Piala FAM) was a knock-out tournament for teams in both the Malaysia M3 League and the Malaysia M4 League in Malaysian football league system, Malaysia. The tournament was a cup format, but from 2008 to 2018 was held as a third-tier league tournament and used the FAM League (Malay: Liga FAM) name. The competition was first held in September 1951.
