Penelope Austin
Penelope Austin is an Australian singer-songwriter. She performs electropop music. She released her debut extended play, ''The Beautiful Dark'' on 30 May 2013. She has co-written several tracks with United States record producer and songwriter, Robert Conley including "Smoke into Flames" (October 2012), "A Place to Call Home" (March 2013), and "Don't Rescue Me" (May). During 2013 "A Place to Call Home" was used for the Australian TV series of the same name. Austin and Conley co-wrote "The Dark Collide" with J. J. Abrams and Charles Scott. Austin's performance of "The Dark Collide" was used on the Australian version of the ''Star Trek Into Darkness'' soundtrack (April 2013). Electropop
Electropop is a hybrid music genre combining elements of electronic and pop genres. Writer Hollin Jones has described it as a variant of synth-pop with heavy emphasis on its electronic sound. SoHo (Australian TV Channel)
SoHo was an Australian pay television channel. Originally launched as FX in 1995 and oriented towards classic programming, it was rebranded as W. and shifted its focus to women's programming on 1 November 2003. Later, on 20 August 2012, it was again rebranded as SoHo and shifted its focus to drama television series. The channel closed down on 4 October 2016, and was replaced by Binge. Peter Michael Tong, (born 30 July 1960) is an English disc jockey who works for BBC Radio 1. He is the host of programmes such as ''Essential Mix'' and ''Essential Selection'' on the radio service, which can be heard through Internet radio streams, for his record label FFRR Records and for his own performances at nightclubs and music festivals. Tong has also worked as a record producer and is regarded as the "global ambassador for electronic music." Vanda & Young
Vanda & Young were an Australian songwriting and producing duo composed of Harry Vanda and George Young. They performed as members of 1960s Australian rock group the Easybeats where Vanda was their lead guitarist and backing singer and Young was their rhythm guitarist and backing singer. Vanda & Young co-wrote most of the Easybeats' later hits including their international hit "Friday on My Mind" and they were the record producers for the group from 1967.
