Pembelik Dam
The Pembelik Dam is a gravity dam on the Peri River (a tributary of the Euphrates), in Karakoçan district of Elazığ Province, Turkey. Its primary purpose is hydroelectric power generation and is the fourth dam in the Peri River cascade. Construction on the dam began in 2009 and its two generators were commissioned in February/March 2015. The tall roller-compacted concrete dam faced opposition from locals and construction was briefly suspended in 2014. It is owned and operated by Limak Energy and Bilgin Energy. Karakoçan
Karakoçan ( ota, تپه ''Tepe'', ku, Dep, hy, italic=yes, Oxi) is a town of Elazığ Province in the Eastern Anatolia Region, Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. It is the seat of Karakoçan District.İlçe Belediyesi

Its population is 14,811 (2021). The mayor is Ayhan Akbaba (AKP). Karakoçan is located on a stony plain that is watered by a stream that flows to the Peri Su. It is the successor of the ancient and medieval town of Bağın, located on the Peri Su to the northwest.

Seyrantepe Dam
The Seyrantepe Dam is an earth-fill embankment dam on the Peri River (a tributary of the Euphrates), located northwest of Karakoçan on the border of Elazığ Province, Elazığ and Tunceli Provinces, Turkey. Its primary purpose is hydroelectric power generation and is the fifth dam in the Peri River cascade. Construction on the dam began in 2003 and its power station was commissioned in 2008. It contains two 29.39 MW Francis turbine-generators for a total installed capacity of 58.78 MW. It is owned and operated by Limak Energy and Bilgin Energy. The sand and gravel-fill dam is tall. A gravity dam is a dam constructed from concrete or stone masonry and designed to hold back water by using only the weight of the material and its resistance against the foundation to oppose the horizontal pressure of water pushing against it. Gravity dams are designed so that each section of the dam is stable and independent of any other dam section. Characteristics Gravity dams generally require stiff rock foundations of high bearing strength (slightly weathered to fresh), although in rare cases, they have been built on soil foundations. Özlüce Dam
Özlüce Dam is a rock-fill embankment dam on the Peri River (a tributary of the Euphrates), located south of Yayladere in Bingöl Province, Turkey. Its primary purpose is hydroelectric power generation and is the third dam in the Peri River cascade. Roller-compacted Concrete
Roller-compacted concrete (RCC) or rolled concrete (rollcrete) is a special blend of concrete that has essentially the same ingredients as conventional concrete but in different ratios, and increasingly with partial substitution of fly ash for Portland cement. The partial substitution of fly ash for Portland Cement is an important aspect of RCC dam construction because the heat generated by fly ash hydration is significantly less than the heat generated by Portland Cement hydration. This in turn reduces the thermal loads on the dam and reduces the potential for thermal cracking to occur.
