Powered Hang Glider
A foot-launched powered hang glider (FLPHG), also called powered harness, nanolight, or hangmotor, is a powered hang gliding, hang glider harness with a internal combustion engine, motor and propeller (aircraft), propeller in pusher configuration. An ordinary hang glider is used for its wing and control frame, and the pilot can foot-launch from a hill or from flat ground, needing a length of about a football field to get airborne, or much less if there is an oncoming breeze and no obstacles. History Adding propulsion While powered microlights (ultralights) developed from hang gliding in the late 1970s, they were also a return to the type of low-speed aircraft that were common in the earlier years of aviation, but which were superseded as both civil and military aircraft pursued more speed. For a second time in aviation history, during the 1970s, motorization of simple gliders, especially those portable and foot-launched, became the goal of many inventors and gradually, sma ...

Pegasus Booster
The Pegasus Booster is a British powered hang glider that was designed and produced by Pegasus Aviation.Cliche, Andre: ''Ultralight Aircraft Shopper's Guide'' 8th Edition, page C-32. Cybair Limited Publishing, 2001. Design and development The booster was sold either as an engine package or as a powered hang gliding harness, to which the pilot could add any standard hang glider wing. When ready to fly the aircraft features a cable-braced hang glider-style high-wing, weight-shift controls, single-place accommodation, foot-launching and landing and a single engine in pusher configuration. The aircraft uses a standard hang glider wing, made from bolted-together aluminium tubing, with its single surface wing covered in Dacron sailcloth. The wing is supported by a single tube-type kingpost and uses an "A" frame control bar. The engine is a lightweight, two-stroke, single cylinder Radne Raket 120 of , which is mounted at the rear of the pilot's prone position harness pod, with the p ...

The Pegasus Quik is a British-designed ultralight trike, originally designed and produced by Pegasus Aviation, later by P&M Aviation, both of the United Kingdom. The design is now owned by Albatross Flying Systems of Bangalore, India. The aircraft is supplied as a kit for amateur construction.Bertrand, Noel; Rene Coulon; et al: ''World Directory of Leisure Aviation 2003-04'', page 106. Pagefast Ltd, Lancaster OK, 2003. ISSN 1368-485X Design and development The Quik's design goal was to produce a faster trike and to this end a smaller wing in both span and area than normal is employed. The initial wing used has on a span of and an area of . The smaller wing also gives improved turbulence resistance, but at the cost of a higher stall speed. The aircraft was designed to comply with the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microligh ...

The aircraft is supplied complete and ready-to-fly.Tacke, Willi; Marino Boric; et al: ''World Directory of Light Aviation 2015-16'', page 236. Flying Pages Europe SARL, 2015. The design was introduced publicly at the Flying Show in Birmingham in December 2011, where writer Demitri Delemarle reported that it "stole the show", due to its unusual semi-enclosed cockpit design. Design and development The PulsR was designed to comply with the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight category, including the category's maximum gross weight of with a ballistic parachute. The aircraft has a maximum gross weight of with a ballistic parachute and without. The design was first shown in 2011 and remained in prototype-only form until 2015.
