Peer Mascini
Petrus Johannes Maria "Peer" Mascini (23 March 1941 – 16 May 2019) was a Dutch actor and writer. He is well known for his work in Blind Date (1996) and De eenzame oorlog van Koos Tak (1996). He was a recipient of Golden Calf award. Career For many years Mascini was part of the theater group '' Hauser Orkater''. In 1996, he won the Golden Calf for Best Actor award at the Netherlands Film Festival for his role in the film ''Blind Date'' by Theo van Gogh. Mascini wrote the film together with Van Gogh and Renée Fokker. Mascini also played a role in the 2007 English-language remake ''Blind Date'' by Stanley Tucci. In the Netherlands he is known for his role in Melkunie television commercials and in particular a 1997 commercial which won the Gouden Loeki award for best Dutch commercial of the year. Heemstede
Heemstede () is a town and a municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is the fourth richest municipality of the Netherlands. History Heemstede formed around the Castle ''Heemstede'' that was built overlooking the Spaarne River around 1286. Before 1296, Floris V, Count of Holland, granted Heemstede as a fiefdom to Reinier of Holy. During the 14th century, a village formed near the castle, which was destroyed and rebuilt several times in this period. A resident of this castle was Adriaan Pauw, who bought it in 1620. In 1653, Bennebroek split off from Heemstede, becoming a separate fiefdom. Growth was slow, and in 1787 Heemstede counted 196 families. Even at that early date Heemstede had already gained the reputation it has today, of being primarily a "bedroom community" for the cities of Haarlem and Amsterdam. ''Abel'' is a 1986 Dutch film directed by Alex van Warmerdam who also scripted and played the lead character. Other lead roles were played by Henri Garcin, Annet Malherbe and Olga Zuiderhoek. ''Het Woeden der Gehele Wereld'' is a 2006 Dutch film, based on the novel of the same name by Maarten 't Hart. It was directed by Guido Pieters and produced by Rob Houwer. The title translates as "The fury/rage/raging of the whole world" and is derived from a song with lyrics by René-François Sully-Prudhomme, set to music by Gabriel Fauré. Film plot The film is set in Maassluis and Leiden, in the time of the German occupation in the 1940s, and in the 1950s. It is about the coming of age of Alex Goudveyl (Maarten Heijmans), and about a murder. For profit, in May 1940 Joost Vroom (Cees Geel) takes refugees (mainly Jews) on his boat to escape to England. However, the boat is attacked by the Germans. They survive, but the escape fails and the boat and the money is lost.
