''Peeples'' is a 2013 American Romantic comedy, romantic comedy film written and directed by Tina Gordon Chism. It stars Craig Robinson (actor), Craig Robinson and Kerry Washington and was released by Lionsgate on May 10, 2013. Despite being billed as a Tyler Perry film, it is the only movie that he has produced but did not write or direct. ''Peeples'' received mixed reviews from critics and was a Box-office bomb, box office bomb, only grossing $9.3 million against a $15 million budget. Plot The Peeples are an affluent East Coast family celebrating their annual Moby Dick Day reunion at Sag Harbor, New York, Sag Harbor in the Hamptons. The weekend is interrupted when Wade Walker (Robinson), the fiancé of Grace Peeples (Washington), shows up to propose after being goaded by his brother, Chris (Malcolm Barrett). Tina Gordon Chism is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. She began her writing career writing the films '' ATL'', and ''Drumline Marching percussion instruments are instruments specially designed to be played while moving. Sag Harbor is an incorporated village in Suffolk County, New York, United States, in the towns of Southampton and East Hampton on eastern Long Island. The village developed as a working port on Gardiner's Bay. The population was 2,772 at the 2020 census. The entire business district is listed as the historic Sag Harbor Village District on the National Register of Historic Places. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Saida Karoli (born April 4, 1976) is a traditionalist Tanzanian singer and performer who has staged live shows in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and DRC. Karoli was born in 1976 in Rwongwe, a small village in the Bukoba Rural district in the northern Tanzanian Kagera Region on the western side of Lake Victoria. Maxayn
Maxayn was an American soul group of the 1970s. The band took its name from the lead singer Maxayn Lewis (born Paulette Parker), former Ikette and wife of band keyboardist Andre Lewis. The band also included Marlo Henderson (guitar) and Emry Thomas (drums). Andre and Henderson had previously played on the 1970 Buddy Miles Express albums ''A Message To The People'' and ''Them Changes''. Maxayn released three albums on Capricorn Records between 1972 and 1974, which were distributed by Warner Bros Records. They signed to Manticore Records in 1975. Maxayn Lewis is an American soul singer, musician, songwriter, and producer. She began her career in the 1960s, under her birth name Paulette Parker, as member of the Ikettes in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. In the 1970s, Lewis sang lead in the band Maxayn with her then-husband Andre Lewis. She was described as "a cross between Aretha Franklin and Roberta Flack." The group eventually morphed to Mandré. Lakeshore Entertainment Group, LLC is an American independent film production, finance, and former international sales and distribution company founded in 1994 by Tom Rosenberg and Ted Tannebaum (1933–2002).
