Peel Green
Peel Green is a suburb at the western end of Eccles, Greater Manchester, England, in the historic county of Lancashire. Transport Peel Green is split by the M60 motorway, which runs north–south through its centre. It is served by the following bus services: Cadishead/Manchester 67, Warrington/Trafford Centre/Manchester 100, Brookhouse/Manchester 10 and Brookhouse/ Piccadilly 63. The City of Salford () is a metropolitan borough within Greater Manchester, England. The borough is named after its main settlement, Salford. The borough covers the towns of Eccles, Swinton, Walkden and Pendlebury, as well as the villages and suburbs of Monton, Little Hulton, Boothstown, Ellenbrook, Clifton, Cadishead, Pendleton, Winton and Worsley. L Gardner & Sons
L. Gardner and Sons Ltd was a British builder of diesel engines for stationary, marine, road and rail applications. The company was founded in Hulme, Manchester, England in 1868. It started building engines around 1895. The firm ceased engine production in the mid-1990s. Origin About 1868 Lawrence Gardner set up as a sewing machine maker in Upper Duke Street, Stretford Road, Hulme, Manchester. He died in 1890, but the business was continued by his sons under the name L. Gardner & Sons Ltd. Patricroft
Patricroft is a suburb near Eccles, Greater Manchester, England. History Patricroft may derive its name from 'Pear-tree croft', or more likely, 'Patrick's Croft'. In 1836, Scottish engineer James Nasmyth, in partnership with Holbrook Gaskell, built the Bridgewater Foundry in Patricroft. Nasmyth chose Patricroft, located on the west side of Manchester, ‘because of the benefit of breathing pure air, realising that a healthy workforce is a more efficient workforce'. He named the works "Bridgewater Foundry" in memory of Canal Duke, the first canal maker in Britain. Bridgewater Foundry was located adjacent to the Bridgewater Canal and the Manchester to Liverpool railway line. The foundry soon expanded to become a major supplier of steam locomotives. St Patrick's RC High School is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school in the Peel Green area of Eccles, Greater Manchester, England. Dunlop Rubber
Dunlop Ltd. (formerly Dunlop Rubber) was a British multinational company involved in the manufacture of various natural rubber goods. Its business was founded in 1889 by Harvey du Cros and he involved John Boyd Dunlop who had re-invented and developed the first pneumatic tyre. It was one of the first multinationals, and under du Cros and, after him, under Eric Geddes, grew to be one of the largest British industrial companies. Manchester Piccadilly Gardens bus station, often abbreviated to Piccadilly Gardens, is one of two main bus stations in Manchester city centre. Adjacent is a Manchester Metrolink station named Piccadilly Gardens. The majority of the stands are located between Piccadilly Gardens and the Piccadilly Plaza, where buses for south or west Manchester usually begin or end their route.
