Pedro Petrone
Pedro Petrone Schiavone (11 May 1905 – 13 December 1964) was a Uruguayan footballer who played in the role of striker. His nickname was ''Artillero'', meaning artilleryman or gunner, in reference to his amazing goalscoring prowess. Club career Throughout his career, Petrone played for Nacional, where he won two National Tournaments (1924, 1934), and in Italy with Fiorentina, where he played 44 games and scored 37 goals; he was the top goalscorer in Serie A during the 1931–32 season). Whilst in Italy, Petrone was timed in the hundred metres at 11 seconds and was said to be the fastest player in the League. International career A two-time gold medalist in the 1924 and 1928 Summer Olympics, Petrone also won the 1930 FIFA World Cup with Uruguay. 1927 South American Championship
The eleventh edition of the South American Championship was held in Lima, Peru from 30 October to 27 November 1927. The participating countries were Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Uruguay. Brazil, Chile and Paraguay withdrew from the tournament. This was the first South American Championship in which Peru participated. The tournament was also used as a qualifier for the 1928 Summer Olympics and both Argentina and Uruguay were subsequently invited to enter that competition. The Argentina team departed from Retiro railway station to Chilean city Valparaíso, where they joined Uruguayan players to board a ship to the port of Callao, Lima. Felice Borel
Felice Placido Borel (; 5 April 1914 – 21 January 1993) was an Italian football player who played as a striker. He was a member of the Italy national football team that won the 1934 FIFA World Cup. Club career Borel was born in Nice, France. During his career, he played for Juventus and cross-city rivals Torino in Serie A and, in Serie B, for Alessandria, and finally for S.S.C. Napoli, where he finished his career. He scored 157 goals for Juventus, winning three Serie A titles ( 1933, 1934, and 1935) and a Coppa Italia (1938) during his time with the club, as well as the Serie A top-scorer award on two occasions (1933 and 1934); he is currently Juventus's sixth highest goal scorer. During his second spell with the club in the 1940s, he held the position of player-manager. Rodolfo Volk
Rodolfo Volk (Sometimes italianized in ''Rodolfo Folchi'') (born 14 January 1906 in Fiume – died 2 October 1983 in Nemi) was an Italian footballer who played as a forward. Volk is regarded as one of the most prolific goalscorers in history of Roma and is remembered as the club's first goalscorer in an official match. As of May 2020 he is the fourth best goalscorer in Roma's history, having scored 103 goals in 157 league appearances. In 2018, he was inducted into the club's Hall of Fame. Career Volk was born in Fiume in 1906 and began to play football for U.S. Fiumana, the team of his city; he was known to be a powerful striker.
