Peder Johnsen
Peder Johnsen (baptised 30 November 1783 – 10 June 1836) was a Norwegian sailor who served as a representative at the Norwegian Constituent Assembly in 1814. Peder Johnsen was born at Tvedestrand in Aust-Agder, Norway. He was the youngest of ten siblings. Johnsen served as a commissioner officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy. He was an accountant at Kristiansand shipyard in Vest-Agder, before he was assigned as a midshipman. In later years, he was the captain of the bark ''De Tvende Brødre''. Norwegian Constituent Assembly
The Norwegian Constituent Assembly (in Norwegian ''Grunnlovsforsamlingen'', also known as ''Riksforsamlingen'') is the name given to the 1814 constitutional assembly at Eidsvoll in Norway, that adopted the Norwegian Constitution and formalised the dissolution of the union with Denmark. In Norway, it is often just referred to as ''Eidsvollsforsamlingen'', which means ''The Assembly of Eidsvoll''. The Assembly The election started in February 1814 in Christiania (now Oslo) in order to draft the Norwegian Constitution. Tvedestrand
is municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sørlandet. The administrative center is the town of Tvedestrand. There are many villages in the municipality including Dypvåg, Fiane, Gjeving, Gødderstad, Grønland, Kilen, Klåholmen, Krokvåg, Laget, Lyngør, Nesgrenda, Østerå, Sagesund, Sandvika, and Songe. The town of Tvedestrand has a white-painted town center with irregular streets climbing steep hills around the harbor. The natural environment of the area makes it a tourist destination. Aust-Agder
Aust-Agder (, en, "East Agder") was a county (''fylke'') in Norway until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Vest-Agder to form Agder county. In 2002, there were 102,945 inhabitants, which was 2.2% of Norway's population. Its area was . The county's administrative center was the town of Arendal. Vest-Agder
Vest-Agder (; "West Agder") was one of 18 counties (''fylker'') in Norway up until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Aust-Agder to form Agder county. Jens Schow Fabricius
Jens Schou Fabricius (3 March 1758 – 6 April 1841) was the Norwegian appointed Minister of the Navy 1817–1818. He served as a representative for ''Søe-Deffensionen'' at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814. During his naval career he served first the Danish Crown until the separation in 1814 of Norway from Denmark, and thereafter the Norwegian-Swedish Crown. Thomas Konow (10 October 1796 – 10 October 1881) was a Norwegian naval officer and politician. He was a member of the Norwegian Constituent Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814. Even Thorsen
Even Thorsen ( 26 August 1778 – 24 March 1867 ) was a Norwegian sailor, farmer, and representative at the Norwegian Constituent Assembly at Eidsvoll. Even Thorsen was born at the Bjornes farm at Austre Moland (now Moland), in Arendal in Aust-Agder, Norway. In his youth, he went to sea working as a deckhand. During the Napoleonic wars, he was a prisoner of war in the United Kingdom from 1807, returning to Norway in 1810. As an adult, he lived with his family at Blekestrand, a farm in Flosta in Aust-Agder.
