Pawnee Independent School District is a public school district based in the community of Pawnee, Texas (USA). Located in Bee County, a small portion of the district extends into Karnes County. In order to serve the numerous individual school districts and charter schools in Texas, Texas Education Agency (TEA) is divided into 20 regions, each containing an Educational Service Center, or ESC. These are also sometimes called Regional Service Centers, or RSC. Pawnee is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bee County, Texas, United States. The population was 166 at the 2010 census. Geography Pawnee is located in northwestern Bee County at (28.649307, -98.001649). Texas State Highway 72 runs through the community, leading northeast to Kenedy and southwest to Interstate 37 near Three Rivers.
