Pavol Kopp is a Slovak sport shooter who competes in the men's 10 metre air pistol. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, he finished in 27th place in the men's 10 m air pistol, failing to make the final. In the 50 metre pistol, he reached the final, finishing 5th. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he finished 21st in the qualifying round in the men's 10 m air pistol, failing to make the cut for the final. He also failed to make the final round in the 50 metre pistol, where he finished 20th. Shooting At The 2015 European Games
Shooting competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held from 13 to 19 June 2015 at the Baku Shooting centre. Nineteen events were in the program with 330 athletes participating. The programme featured several non-Olympic Mixed team events. The winners of the fifteen Olympic events automatically qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. Qualification The bulk (295 from 330) of qualification quota places were awarded based on European rankings as of 31 December 2014. The quota places were for athletes who were among: - 33 top-ranked in Men's Trap and Skeet; - 30 top-ranked in all individual Pistol and Rifle events of either gender; - 18 top-ranked in Women's Trap and Skeet, and Men's Double Trap. The maximum number of athletes per country was 2 in each event. 2015 European Games
The 2015 European Games, also known as Baku 2015 or Baku 2015 European Games ( az, Bakı 2015 Avropa Oyunları), were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. The men's ISSF 50 meter pistol event at the 2012 Olympic Games took place on 5 August 2012 at the Royal Artillery Barracks. There were 38 competitors from 27 nations. The event was won by Jin Jong-oh of South Korea, the second of his three consecutive victories in the free pistol. He was the first (and, since the event has been discontinued, the only) shooter to win two individual free pistol gold medals. It was his third medal in the event (including a silver in 2004), making him the fourth man to earn three free pistol medals.
