Pavilion Stakes
The Pavilion Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged three years only. It is run at Ascot over a distance of 6 furlongs (), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late April or early May. The race was first run in 1999 and was awarded Group 3 status (from Listed) in 2015. It is run on the same card as the Sagaro Stakes. Since 2019 the official title has indicated that the race should be considered as a trial for the Commonwealth Stakes, run at the Royal Meeting over the same course and distance in June. Ascot Racecourse ("ascot" pronounced , often pronounced ) is a dual-purpose British racecourse, located in Ascot, Berkshire, England, which is used for thoroughbred horse racing. It hosts 13 of Britain's 36 annual Flat Group 1 horse races and three Grade 1 Jumps races. Ascot Racecourse is visited by approximately 600,000 people a year, accounting for 10% of all UK racegoers. John Harry Martin Gosden (born 30 March 1951) is a British racehorse trainer. He has trained over 3,000 winners worldwide, including winners of the Breeders' Cup Classic, the Derby, the Arc, the King George, the Eclipse, and over 600 winners in the United States. James Doyle (jockey)
James Doyle (born 22 April 1988 in Cambridge, England) is a flat racing jockey. He is the son of former trainer Jacqueline Doyle. Since 2014, he has been one of the retained riders to Godolphin Racing in the UK, mainly riding horses trained by Charlie Appleby. Limato
Limato (foaled 8 February 2012) is a retired Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was a sprinter who produced his best performances over six and seven furlongs on good or firm ground. In a racing career lasting from June 2014 to September 2020 he ran 33 times and won 14 races, including two at Group One level. He achieved the feat of winning at least one Group or Listed race in each of his seven racing seasons. Limato was one of the best British juveniles of 2014 when he was undefeated in four races including the Rose Bowl Stakes and the Two-Year-Old Trophy, although, as a gelding he was ineligible to run in many of the most important races. Luke Morris
Luke Morris (born 20 October 1988) is an English jockey who competes in flat racing. Background Morris comes from a racing background, his grandfather Joe Tate, uncle Jason Tate and cousin Ryan Tate all being jockeys. He was born in Oxford and moved to Newmarket as a child. He began riding out for Michael Bell while still at school. He completed a course at the British Racing School and became apprenticed to Bell. Society Rock (8 February 2007 – 31 May 2016) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse who has won the Golden Jubilee Stakes and Haydock Sprint Cup. He was owned by Simon Gibson and trained by James Fanshawe. Breeding Society Rock is the son of Rock of Gibraltar who won seven Group 1 races in a row, including the 2000 Guineas. Richard Hughes (born 11 January 1973) is a retired Irish jockey and current racehorse trainer who is based at Lambourn in Berkshire, England. Born in Dublin, he is the son of successful National Hunt trainer, Dessie Hughes. Hughes became British flat racing Champion Jockey in 2012 and retained that title in 2013, when he rode more than 200 winners in the season, and again in 2014. Paul F. I. Cole (born 11 September 1941) is a British racehorse trainer. Since 1987 he has been based at Whatcombe Estate in Berkshire, the former stables of Dick Dawson and Arthur Budgett.
