Paveletsky Suburban Railway Line
The Paveletsky suburban railway line (russian: Павелецкое направление Московской железной дороги) is one of eleven suburban railway lines used for suburban railway connections between Moscow, Russia, and surrounding areas, mostly in Moscow Oblast. The Paveletsky suburban railway line connects Moscow with the stations in the southeast, in particular, with the towns of Vidnoye, Domodedovo, Stupino, and Kashira, as well as with the Domodedovo International Airport. The stations the line serves are located in Moscow, as well as in the cities of Vidnoye, Domodedovo, Stupino, Kashira, and the urban-type settlement of Serebryanye Prudy in Moscow Oblast. The suburban trains have their northern terminus at Moscow Paveletsky railway station in Moscow. Kashira
Kashira (russian: Каши́ра) is a town and the administrative center of Kashirsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Oka River south of Moscow. Population: History It was first mentioned in 1356 as the village of Koshira () named after the Koshira River (today's Kashirka River). However, 1619 is considered Kashira's foundation year, when the town was transferred from the left bank of the Oka to the right bank some upstream and rebuilt after it was badly damaged by the Crimean Tatars in 1592 and 1596. The town was once home to exiled Kazan Khan Ghabdellatif. The coat of arms of Kashira contains the image of Zilant, a heraldic symbol of Kazan. Town status was granted to Kashira in 1777. Moscow Kursky Railway Station
Kursky railway terminal (russian: Ку́рский вокза́л, ''Kursky vokzal''), also known as Moscow Kurskaya railway station (russian: Москва́-Ку́рская, ''Moskva-Kurskaya''), is one of the ten railway terminals in Moscow. It was built in 1896, and renovated (without major design changes) in 1938, then a large glass facade and modern roof was added in a 1972 expansion. In 2008, there were plans to completely rebuild or refurbish the station. Kursky station, unlike most Moscow terminals, operates two almost opposite railroad directions from Moscow: one toward Kursk, Russia, after which the station is named, that stretches on into Ukraine, and another toward Nizhniy Novgorod, which is less used by long-distance trains, and is mostly for the high-speed service to Nizhniy. Biryulyovo Tovarnaya (russian: Бирюлёво-Товарная, ''Biryulyovo Cargo Station'') is a railway station located in Biryulyovo Zapadnoye and Biryulyovo Vostochnoye Districts of Moscow, Russia. The station serves suburban traffic of Paveletsky suburban railway line. The northbound trains terminate at Moscow Paveletsky railway station in Moscow. The southbound trains terminate at the stations of Biryulyovo Passazhirskaya, Domodedovo, Barybino, Mikhnevo, Stupino, Kashira, Ozherelye, and Uzunovo. The station is operated by the Moscow Railway. The next station in the northern direction is Chertanovo, and the next one in the southern direction is Biryulyovo-Passazhirskaya.
