Paulo Clemente
Paulo Clemente Ventura Raimundo (born 14 October 1983), known as Clemente, is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a forward. Over ten seasons, he amassed Segunda Liga totals of 323 games and 62 goals, representing a total of six clubs. He appeared in the Primeira Liga with Santa Clara (three matches). Club career Born in Ponta Delgada, Azores, Clemente began his career with boyhood club CD Operário, spending three seasons in the third division and one in the fourth. In 2005, he left for another side in the latter tier, Louletano DC. Clemente first reached the professionals in the 2007–08 campaign, competing with Gondomar S.C. in the Segunda Liga. In January 2008 he returned to division three, signing for G.D. Chaves and scoring 13 goals in his first full season to help the northerners promote as champions. The 2009–10 Taça de Portugal was the 70th season of the Taça de Portugal. The competition began on 30 August 2009, with the first round matches, and concluded with the final, held on 16 May at the Estádio Nacional, in Oeiras, between defending champions Porto and then Liga de Honra team Chaves. Danildo José São Pedro Accioly Filho (born 30 March 1981), known as Accioly, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a central defender, currently assistant manager of Portuguese club Santa Clara. He spent the better part of his professional career with Portuguese club Santa Clara, competing mainly in the Segunda Liga (270 matches). The 2018–19 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons) was the 85th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. Portuguese Football League System
The Portuguese football league system consists of several leagues bound together hierarchically by promotion and relegation. Reserve teams are allowed to compete in the main league system, as is the case with most of Europe. However, they are not allowed to compete in the same tier as their senior team, thus no reserve team has ever competed in Portugal's top flight, the Primeira Liga. 2012–13 Segunda Liga
The 2012–13 Segunda Liga was the 23rd season of the second-tier of football in Portugal. This season marked a series of changes in the league overall. The league's name was changed back to Segunda Liga from the previous Liga de Honra. A total of 22 teams contested the league, up from 16 in the previous season; 14 of which contested the 2011–12 season, two of which were promoted from the Portuguese Second Division (including a reserve team), one of which was relegated from the 2011–12 Primeira Liga, and five of which were new reserve teams of Primeira Liga clubs. The reserve teams were not eligible for promotion to the Primeira Liga. ''Record'' is a Portuguese sports newspaper, founded by Manuel Dias, published in Lisbon. Although it covers most sports, football is the focal point of it, and almost always is the only sport referred to on the cover. History and profile ''Record'' was founded by Manuel Dias. Dias was a newspaper vendor as well an athlete. Dias participated the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. In 1949, Dias would enter the national lottery in Portugal and would win 40 contos.
