Pauline Ducruet
Pauline Grace Maguy Ducruet (born 4 May 1994) is a Monegasque diver, designer and niece of Prince Albert II of Monaco, through her mother, Princess Stéphanie of Monaco. Early life Ducruet was born on 4 May 1994 at Princess Grace Hospital Centre in La Colle, Monaco. She is the second child of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco and Daniel Ducruet. Her parents subsequently married in a civil ceremony on 1 July 1995. She has an older brother (Louis) and three half-siblings. Her half-brother Michael is the son of Daniel Ducruet and Martine Malbouvier. Her half-sister, Camille Gottlieb, is the daughter of Princess Stéphanie and Jean-Raymond Gottlieb. Daniel Ducruet
Daniel Ducruet (; born 27 November 1964) is a former husband of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, to whom he was married in 1995 and divorced from a year later in 1996. Two of his children, Louis and Pauline, are 15th and 16th in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne. Early life Ducruet was born in Beausoleil, Alpes-Maritimes to Henri Ducruet, a manual laborer and his wife Maguy (née Barbero), a homemaker. Ducruet attended the University of Nice but dropped out after a year. He worked as a bodybuilder, pet shop clerk and a fishmonger before being accepted into Monaco's police force as a trainee officer in 1986. Within two years he had been appointed a Palace bodyguard with responsibility for Prince Albert. Succession To The Monegasque Throne
The succession to the throne of the Principality of Monaco is currently governed by Princely Law 1.249 of 2 April 2002. Eligibility Under the constitution of Monaco, the crown passes according to male-preference cognatic primogeniture. Only persons descended from the reigning monarch and the reigning monarch's siblings and their descendants, whose parents have been married at some point with the monarch's approval, and who are Monegasque citizens are eligible. Children born as a result of adultery are permanently excluded. A dynast forfeits succession rights if he or she marries without the monarch's permission, along with descendants of the unapproved marriage, but can be restored into the line of succession if the marriage produces no issue and ends before the demise of the crown.
