Paulette Carlson
Paulette Tenae Carlson (born October 11, 1952) is an American country singer-songwriter, who rose to fame in the 1980s as the founder and lead vocalist for the country band Highway 101. With Highway 101, she charted four No. 1 hit singles, seven Top 10 hits and won two Country Music Association Awards. As a solo artist, she has charted five times on Hot Country Songs and recorded three studio albums. Her most successful solo single is "I'll Start with You", which peaked at number 21 in 1991. Carlson continues to tour and record new music as a solo artist. Beginnings Paulette Carlson began professionally singing in the dance bars in Fargo, ND, and in the Minneapolis, MN, area and built a large local following before heading to Nashville in 1978. ''Reunited'' is an album released in 1996 by Highway 101. The album's title refers to the return of the band's original lead singer, Paulette Carlson, to the lineup. At the time, drummer Cactus Moser was not included in the lineup. Included on it are four of the band's earlier singles, "The Bed You Made for Me", "Setting Me Up", "All the Reason Why" and "Walkin', Talkin', Cryin', Barely Beatin' Broken Heart". Two singles were released from the album, "Where'd You Get Your Cheatin' From" and "It Must Be Love." The Academy of Country Music (ACM) was founded in 1964 in Los Angeles, California as the Country & Western Music Academy. Among the founders were Eddie Miller, Tommy Wiggins, and Mickey and Chris Christensen. They wanted to promote country music in the western 13 states with the support of artists based on the West Coast. Steven Harvey Goldmann (August 18, 1961 – April 30, 2015) was a Canadian music video and film director. He directed over 200 music videos.
