Paul Wilkinson (footballer)
Paul Wilkinson (born 30 October 1964) is an English former professional footballer and coach. Wilkinson had an 18-year professional playing career that saw make over 650 senior appearances and score more than 150 goals. Since retiring as a player in 2000 he has held a number of development and assistant coaching positions. He was briefly manager of Truro City before being appointed manager of Bury, who were expelled from the English Football League in August 2019. Playing career Wilkinson started his career with Grimsby Town before moving to Everton in March 1985. He attracted the attention of Everton when scoring a last minute winner for Grimsby against Everton in a League Cup tie in November 1984. Wilkinson's first goal for Everton was the winning goal in a Merseyside derby in May 1985; Everton had already secured the title by this point. At this time he won caps for the England under-21 team. The 1986– 87 season was the 88th completed season of The Football League. Play-offs to determine promotion places were introduced in 1987 so that more clubs remained eligible for promotion closer to the end of the season, and at the same time to aid in the reduction over two years of the number of clubs in the First Division from 22 to 20. Robin Michael Lawrence (born 12 December 1947) is an English former football manager, player and football consultant who is non-executive director at EFL League Two side Hartlepool United. Lawrence was a semi-professional at Croydon, Carshalton Athletic and Sutton United before becoming caretaker manager of Plymouth Argyle in 1978. He went on to manage Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough (during their debut season in the Premier League), Bradford City, Luton Town and Grimsby Town. Oakwell is a multi-purpose sports development in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England used primarily by Barnsley Football Club for playing their home fixtures, and those of their reserves. While the name 'Oakwell' generally refers to the main stadium, it also includes several neighbouring venues which form the facilities of the Barnsley FC Academy, an indoor training pitch, a smaller stadium with seating on the south and west sides for around 2,200 spectators, and several training pitches used by the different Barnsley FC squads. John Grattan Hendrie (born 24 October 1963) is a Scottish former professional association footballer who played on the right wing or in attack. His career started at Coventry City but he moved to Bradford City, where he played 173 consecutive league games, winning one promotion and narrowly missing out on another. Following spells with Newcastle United and Leeds United, he moved to Middlesbrough and scored the final goal at Ayresome Park among his 44 goals for Boro.
