Paul Van Carter (born 15 November 1976) is a British film producer, novelist, and music producer. As a producer, his most recent films include the double BAFTA nominated ''McQueen (film), McQueen'' about the life of fashion designer Alexander McQueen distributed by Lionsgate and Bleecker Street which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2018; the Winston Churchill biopic ''Churchill (film), Churchill'' set in the hours preceding D-Day 1944 which stars Brian Cox, Miranda Richardson, and John Slattery; the biopic of bare-knuckle boxer Lenny McLean entitled ''My Name Is Lenny, My Name is Lenny'' which stars Josh Helman, Michael Bisping, and was the last film of actor Sir John Hurt; and the documentary about footballer Paul Gascoigne's life ''Gascoigne (film), Gascoigne''. ''Shank'' is a 2010 British action film directed by first-time filmmaker Mo Ali. Written by Paul Van Carter, it was shot in London in 2009. The movie stars Adam Deacon, Bashy, Jennie Jacques, Kaya Scodelario, Kedar Williams-Stirling and Rory Beresford in the lead roles. It was released on 26 March 2010. Plot In a dystopic future London in 2015, society has fallen apart, gangs have taken over, and the economy is in complete anarchy. Junior and his older brother, Rager, are in charge of a local gang, "The Paper Chaserz". They try to stay out of trouble and refuse to kill as part of their "moral code", which is especially enforced by the strong but defensive Rager. ''Shelf Life'' is a 1993 film directed by Paul Bartel. The final film Bartel directed before he died in 2000, it stars O-Lan Jones, Andrea Stein, and Jim Turner. Plot Following the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963, a Californian family head to their nuclear bunker. The film returns thirty years later and 40 feet underground with a typical day for the children, Tina, Pam and Scotty, still in the bunker, together with their now dead parents. Letchworth Garden City, commonly known as Letchworth, is a town in the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire, England. It is noted for being the first garden city.
