Paul Shaw (footballer)
Paul Shaw (born 4 September 1973) is an English retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He has also worked as a coach at F.C. New York and with Orlando City U-23. Playing career Shaw started his career as a trainee at Arsenal, turning professional in 1991. His debut came against Nottingham Forest on 3 December 1994. Unable to break into the Arsenal first team, Shaw spent periods on loan with Burnley, Cardiff City and Peterborough United during his time at Arsenal, before he was sold to Millwall in September 1997. He made 13 appearances in six years for the Gunners, all but one of them as substitute, scoring two goals with both coming against Southampton in the 1996–97 season, one at home and one away. Shaw spent three years with Millwall before moving to Gillingham in 2000. Paul Frank Shaw (born 28 July 1967) is a former English cricketer. Shaw was a left-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. Shaw made his debut for Staffordshire in the 1992 Minor Counties Championship against Northumberland. Shaw played Minor counties cricket for Staffordshire from 1992 to 2004, which included 64 Minor Counties Championship matches and 21 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. In 1993, he made his List A debut against Hampshire in the NatWest Trophy. He made 11 further appearances in List A cricket, the last coming against Lancashire in the 2004 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. In his 12 List A matches, he scored 310 runs at an average of 28.18, scoring 2 half centuries and making his highest score of 62 against Hertfordshire in the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. Paul Shaw (born 4 October 1965) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played for Manly-Warringah and Gold Coast in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition and for Salford in England. Background Shaw played junior rugby league for Wellington in the New South Wales country competition before signing with Manly. Playing career Shaw made his first grade debut for Manly against South Sydney in Round 12 1986 at Brookvale Oval. Shaw mainly played from the bench in 1986 and 1987 as an understudy to Des Hasler. Shaw played 12 times for Manly in 1987 as the club reached the grand final against the Canberra Raiders.
