Paul Reynolds is an Irish journalist. As of 2014, he is the crime correspondent for RTÉ News. Reynolds has been on RTÉ's main news programmes, in both television and radio, almost daily for over a decade. He joined RTÉ in 1991 at the same time as Mark Little, Rachael English Rachael English (born 1969) is an Irish broadcaster and writer. RTÉ News and Current Affairs ( ga, Nuacht agus Cúrsaí Reatha RTÉ), also known as RTÉ News (''Nuacht RTÉ''), is the national news service provided by Irish public broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann. Its services include local, national, European and international news, investigative journalism and current affairs programming for RTÉ television, radio, online, podcasts, on-demand and for independent Irish language public broadcaster TG4. It is the largest and most popular news source in Ireland – with 77% of the Irish public regarding it as their main source of both Irish and international news. RTÉ Television is a department of Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), the Republic of Ireland's state controlled national broadcaster. RTÉ Radio is a division of the Irish national broadcasting organisation Raidió Teilifís Éireann. RTÉ Radio broadcasts four analogue channels and five digital channels nationwide. Mark Little (Irish Journalist)
Mark Little (born 1968) is an Irish journalist, television presenter and author. He presented ''Prime Time'' for RTÉ until December 2009. He took a year of leave of absence from RTÉ to pursue a project centered on digital media and global journalism. He launched the project in April 2010, called Storyful. which he sold to News International in 2013. In 2015 he joined Twitter, first as vice president of media and partnerships for Twitter in Europe and later becoming managing director of Twitter in Ireland. He resigned from the position in 2016. Early life and education Little was born in Dublin on 10 September 1968 and lived in Malahide, County Dublin, later moving to Oughterard, County Galway. He studied Economic and Social Studies at Trinity College Dublin for 5 years, and took his BA degree in 1997. Rachael English (born 1969) is an Irish broadcaster and writer. Known for presenting ''Five Seven Live'' for six years, English has also presented other radio shows, such as ''RTÉ News at One'', ''Today with Pat Kenny'', ''The Marian Finucane Show'' and ''The Late Debate'' as well as a permanent presenter of ''Morning Ireland'' and ''Saturday View''. In 2011, Kim Bielenberg said in the ''Irish Independent'' that English would be "a natural replacement for Sean O'Rourke if he ever moved on". Early life Rachael English was born in Lincolnshire, where her mother, Ruth, was raised. She grew up in Shannon before going on to study Communication Studies at Dublin City University. Sean Whelan (journalist)
Sean Whelan is an Irish journalist. He is the RTÉ News Washington correspondent since February 2022. He previously was the London correspondent, Europe Editor and Economics Correspondent for RTÉ News. Career He graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in History and Politics. He then obtained a postgraduate in journalism from the National Institute for Higher Education. Whelan joined RTÉ in 1991 at the same time as Mark Little, Rachael English and Paul Reynolds. He worked in a number of areas, such as the Foreign Desk. He has reported from wars in Bosnia and Kosovo and on the return of Hong Kong to the People's Republic of China. Gerry Reynolds (broadcaster)
Gerry Reynolds is an Irish journalist, broadcaster and television producer. Born Gerard Reynolds, one of four sons of the Garda Detective Superintendent, John Willy Reynolds. One of his brothers is journalist Paul Reynolds (RTÉ journalist), Paul Reynolds. Reynolds began his broadcasting career with RTÉ 2fm, RTÉ Radio 2 as a newsreader before moving to RTÉ News working as a journalist. He was the first correspondent for the midlands, based out of Westmeath in 1988. By 1996 Reynolds had become head of broadcasting for RTÉ Cork. He was appointed Controller of Digital Channels in 2001. Since then Reynolds has continued to produce documentary and news related shows for RTÉ.
