Paul Politi
Paul Leo Politi (born July 31, 1943) is an American songwriter, famous for his collaboration of over 40 songs with singer and songwriter Barry White. Politi and White collaborated in writing songs including the singer Felice Taylor during the mid 1960s. Various songs co-written for her included " It May Be Winter Outside (But in My Heart It's Spring)" in 1967 and the follow-up " Under the Influence of Love". Both were later covered by Love Unlimited, a protégée female vocal group established through Barry White's initiative and were hit singles in the United States. The international fame came through " I Feel Love Comin' On", also co-written by Politi and White. The song became a hit for Taylor in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe in 1967. Barry Eugene Carter (September 12, 1944 – July 4, 2003), better known by his stage name Barry White, was an American singer and songwriter. Steps (pop Group)
Steps are a British dance-pop group consisting of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian "H" Watkins. Steps were formed in May 1997 and achieved a series of charting singles between 1997 and 2001 including two number-one singles in the UK (one a double A-side), two number-one albums in the UK, 14 consecutive top 5 singles in the UK and a string of hits throughout Europe. The group has sold over 22 million records worldwide in addition to acquiring a BRIT Award nomination in 1999 for Best Newcomer while supporting Britney Spears on tour the same year. Atiglio Leoni Politi (November 21, 1908 – March 26, 1996) was an American artist and author who wrote and illustrated some 20 children's books, as well as ''Bunker Hill, Los Angeles'' (1964), intended for adults. His works often celebrated cultural diversity, and many were published in both English and Spanish. Childhood Politi was the younger of two children, born in Fresno, on November 21, 1908, to Italian-American parents Lodovico Politi and Mary Cazzola. Politi's sister, Marie Therese, was two years older. ''The Message Is Love'' is the self-produced tenth album by American R&B singer Barry White, released in March 1979. It was White's first release on his own CBS-affiliated custom label, Unlimited Gold, following his departure from long-time label 20th Century-Fox Records, and advance interest was high. The album however proved a disappointment both critically and commercially. However, the album was still certified RIAA Gold. ''The Message Is Love'' stalled outside the R&B album top 10 (peaking at #14) and only reached #67 on the ''Billboard 200''. The poor performance of the album set the pattern for White's career slump in the early 1980s, which saw him fail to place any other album on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 during the decade.
