Paul Miller (Canadian Politician)
Paul David Miller (born February 7, 1951) is a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2007 provincial election until his defeat in the 2022 Ontario general election. He represented the riding of Hamilton East—Stoney Creek as an Ontario New Democratic Party MPP until March 17, 2022 when he was expelled from the party's caucus and barred from running again for the NDP. He sat the remainder of his term as an independent MPP and ran unsuccessfully as an independent in the June 2, 2022 election. Background Born in Hamilton, Miller's family moved to Stoney Creek when he was one year old. As a youth, he worked on the election campaigns of his uncle, former councillor and Hamilton Mayor, Bill Powell. Andrea Horwath
Andrea Horwath (; born October 24, 1962) is a Canadian politician who has been the 58th mayor of Hamilton since 2022. Horwath previously served as the member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Hamilton Centre from 2004 to 2022, as leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party (NDP) from 2009 to 2022 and as the leader of the Official Opposition in Ontario from 2018 to 2022. 2011 Ontario General Election
The 2011 Ontario general election was held on October 6, 2011, to elect members of the 40th Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Eramosa Karst
The Eramosa Karst is a provincially significant Earth Science Area of Natural and Scientific Interest in Ontario, Canada, located in Stoney Creek, a constituent community of the City of Hamilton, and immediately south of the Niagara Escarpment. It exhibits sixteen different karstic geological features, of which seven are provincially significant, and is considered to be the best example of karst topography found in Ontario. The area is composed of parcels of land that are provincially, municipally and privately owned. It received ANSI-ES designation on February 13, 2003. Conservation area In October 2006, Ontario donated 73 ha of land to the Hamilton Conservation Authority to create a new conservation area, followed by another donation of 3.1 ha in April 2007. Wayne L.
