The Red Fox Chasers
The Red Fox Chasers were a string band that formed in North Carolina in 1927, and were active until around 1931. Members included vocalist and guitar player A. P. Thompson, vocalist and harmonica player Bob Cranford, vocalist and banjo player Paul Miles (musician), Paul Miles, and fiddler Guy Brooks. History The Red Fox Chasers were formed at the 1927 Union Grove, Iredell County, North Carolina#Fiddler's convention, Union Grove Fiddler's Convention in Western North Carolina. A.P. “Fonzie” Thompson and Bob Cranford had already been singing partners, as they grew up together in Surry County, North Carolina. Both had learned the rudiments of harmony by attending church singing schools in the area, where they learned to sing from seven-shape note songbooks. Both also sang in local Gospel quartets. Zoon
Nefilim was a industrial death metal studio project formed by Carl McCoy with John "Capachino" Carter in 1992 after the disbanding of Fields of the Nephilim. It featured McCoy on vocals and keyboards and John Carter on bass, guitars and drums. The album title track Zoon was written during this period, as were now famed demos including "Red Harvest777", "Chaochracy" and "Subsanity (Sensorium)". After a year Carter and McCoy parted company, and McCoy went on to recruit Paul Miles on guitar, Simon Rippin on drums and Cian Houchin on bass. The lineup released one album, ''Zoon'' (1996), which was more influenced by death metal and industrial metal than McCoy's previous releases with the Fields of the Nephilim, though similar themes of mysticism are prevalent, seen in songs like "Pazuzu (Black Rain)," which refers to the Assyro-Babylonian god also known as "king of the demons." Paul Terrance Miles (born 13 February 1963) is an Australian politician. He was a Liberal member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 2008 to 2017, representing Wanneroo. He won the seat after defeating sitting Labor MLA Dianne Guise. Miles was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Commerce in 2013 to 2016, in the Barnett Ministry. In the dying months of the Barnett Government he was made Minister for Local Government, Minister for Community Services, Minister for Seniors and Volunteering, and Minister for Youth in September 2016. Biography Miles was born in the United Kingdom to parents, Beryl and Alan Miles. They migrated to Perth, Australia in 1970. Paul Miles (American Football)
Paul J. Miles (born March 25, 1952) is a former American football running back. Miles was born in 1952 and attended Paulding High School in Paulding, Ohio. He played college football at Bowling Green from 1971 to 1973. He was the third running back in NCAA history to have three seasons of 1,000 or more rushing yards: 1,185 yards as a sophomore; 1,024 yards as a junior; and 1,031 yards as a senior. He was rated by the Associated Press at the end of the 1973 season as the greatest running back in the history of the Mid-America Conference. Also at the end of the 1973 season, Bowing Green retired his jersey (No. 29), the first player in school honor to be so honored. While attending Bowling Green, he also played the guitar and sang in a folk-rock style in a one-man nightclub act. He was inducted into the Bowling Green Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990.
