Paul McGrath (April 11, 1904 – April 13, 1978) was an American film, television, Broadway, and Pittsburgh actor best known for his radio appearances in the 1940s and 1950s. Early years Born in Chicago, McGrath was educated in public schools in New York, including Evander Childs High School. He attended Carnegie Tech and studied engineering before developing an interest in drama. He left in 1924 to become an actor. Career McGrath's professional debut came as a member of a touring company of ''The First Year''. On radio, McGrath was a regular on '' Crime Doctor'' and on the soap operas ''Big Sister'' and ''Young Doctor Malone''. He played the host on ''Inner Sanctum Mystery'' on radio and on a syndicated TV version of the program. His other work on television included appearances on the dramas ''Armstrong Circle Theatre'', ''Hallmark Hall of Fame'', and ''The United States Steel Hour.'' Paul McGrath (politician)
Paul McGrath (born 13 February 1948) is an Irish former Fine Gael politician. He was a Teachta Dála (TD) for Longford–Westmeath and Westmeath constituencies from 1989 to 2007. McGrath, a native of Ballymore, County Westmeath was educated at St Finian's College, Mullingar and at Leeds Trinity and All Saints College. Prior to entering national politics, he worked as a primary schoolteacher in County Westmeath. McGrath was elected to Dáil Éireann at the 1989 general election as a Fine Gael candidate in the Longford–Westmeath constituency, replacing the retiring Fine Gael TD, Patrick Cooney. He retained his seat in all subsequent elections, which since the 1992 general election has been part of the Westmeath constituency. In 1991, he was elected as a member of Westmeath County Council and Mullingar Town Council, and was a member of both bodies until his retirement from local politics in 2002. Paul McGrath (born 4 December 1959) is an Irish former professional footballer, who played as a defender. Mainly a centre back, he also played as defensive midfielder. McGrath is widely considered to be one of the greatest Irish players of all time. He spent the majority of his career at Aston Villa and Manchester United (seven seasons apiece). He is one of only six defenders to have won the PFA Players' Player of the Year award. He also played for St Patrick's Athletic, Derby County and Sheffield United. Paul McGrath (Gaelic Footballer)
Paul McGrath (born 23 May 1966) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. In a career that spanned two decades he played at club level with Bishopstown and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. Career McGrath first came to prominence at underage level with Bishopstown before spending over a decade lining out for the club's senior team. He first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Cork under-21 team, winning successive All-Ireland Under-21 Championship titles in 1985 and 1986. McGrath subsequently joined the Cork senior football team and won the first of five Munster Championship title in his debut season in 1988.
