Paul Maye
Paul Maye (19 August 1913 – 19 April 1987) was a French professional road bicycle racer. Maye shares the record of three Paris–Tours victories. He won the 1945 Paris–Roubaix. Raoul Lesueur
Raoul Lesueur (29 April 1912 – 19 August 1981) was a French cyclist. He started his career as a road racer, winning numerous competitions in the 1930s and ''Critérium des As'' in 1943. After World War II he focused on motor-paced racing. In this discipline he won a European title in 1950 and the UCI Motor-paced World Championships in 1947 and 1950. 1936 Tour De France
The 1936 Tour de France was the 30th edition of the Tour de France, taking place from 7 July to 2 August. It was composed of 21 stages with a total length of . Because of health problems, Henri Desgrange stopped as Tour director, and was succeeded by Jacques Goddet. The race was won by Belgian cyclist Sylvère Maes. In the early stages, he battled with French Maurice Archambaud, until Archambaud lost many minutes on the eighth stage. Maes was then able to create a large margin with his new closest competitor Magne and teammate Vervaecke. The team classification was won by the Belgian team, and Spanish cyclist Julián Berrendero won the mountains classification. Sauveur Ducazeaux (8 December 1910, Biarritz — 23 June 1987, Colmar) was a French professional road bicycle racer. He won one stage in the 1936 Tour de France. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously (though sometimes with a handicap) and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual riders or teams race a course alone against the clock.
