Paul Maher (Moyne–Templetuohy Hurler)
Paul Maher (born 8 November 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Intermediate Championship club Moyne–Templetuohy and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a goalkeeper. Playing career University of Limerick On 11 March 2015, Maher lined out in goal for the University of Limerick when they faced Waterford Institute of Technology in the Fitzgibbon Cup final replay. UL secured a 2-18 to 1-14 victory. Moyne-Templetuohy Maher joined the Moyne–Templetuohy club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 2 November 2014, Maher lined out in goal when Moyne–Templetuohy faced Thurles Sarsfields in the final of the Tipperary Intermediate Championship. Moyne–Templetuohy won by 1-18 to 0-10. Moyne–Templetuohy GAA
Moyne–Templetuohy Hurling and Football Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club recruiting from the village of Templetuohy and the adjoining townland of Moyne, in County Tipperary, Ireland. It participates in the leagues and championships of the GAA's Mid Tipperary division, and in the county-wide competitions of Tipperary GAA. While several sports are played, hurling is predominant in the club. History Shortly after the foundation of the GAA in 1884, separate clubs were formed in Moyne and Templetuohy. Moyne's hurlers defeated Tullaroan (of Kilkenny) in Johnstown by 2-2 to nil in the club's first known match in 1887. Templetuohy played Gortnahoe on the same day. The clubs continued as separate entities for almost 50 years, with Templetuohy allying with Castleiney in the 1910s to play as 'Templetuohy and Castleiney United'. 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling championship for boys under the age of eighteen. The championship began on 6 April 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 4 September 2016 Tipperary won the championship following a 1-21 to 0-17 defeat of Limerick in the All-Ireland final. 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 132nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2019 fixtures took place on 11 October 2018. The championship began on 11 May 2019 and concluded on 18 August 2019. Limerick were the defending champions. Carlow returned to the Leinster Championship for the first time since 2016, replacing Offaly who were relegated in 2018. Carlow lost all their four games in 2019 and were automatically relegated to the 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup. Tipperary were the winners, defeating Kilkenny in the final. It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Liam MacCarthy Cup. The Munster GAA Hurling Senior Championship, known simply as the Munster Championship, is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. 2018 National Hurling League
The 2018 National Hurling League was the 87th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Wexford finished top of Division 1B in 2017 and were promoted to Division 1A for 2018. Galway finished second in Division 1B in 2017 and so missed out on promotion, even though they subsequently won the Division 1 league final. Cavan re-entered the National Hurling League in Division 3B, having previously withdrawn. Lancashire also entered in Division 3B for the first time. Eir Sport and TG4 provided live TV coverage of the league on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons respectively. The 2015 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 52nd staging of the All-Ireland championship for since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964.
