Paul Harris (September 15, 1917 – August 25, 1985) was an American actor with a commanding presence. He had roles in films such as '' All Night Long'', ''Across 110th Street'', '' The Slams '', ''Truck Turner'' and '' Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes'' aka ''Jive Turkey''. Background Harris was born and raised in Pasadena, California. At the age of sixteen, he became tremendously interested in entertainment and the theatrical world. Paul decided to study professionally at the Hebert Wall School of Music and The Actors Laboratory, both in Hollywood. He was chosen over many fine actors to study and appear in plays at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. Paul Lee Harris (born 2 November 1978) is a Zimbabwean born former South African cricketer who played Test cricket as a left-arm orthodox spin bowler for the South African team between 2007 and 2011. He has also played domestic cricket for Northerns, Titans, Western Province and Warwickshire. Early life Harris was born at Salisbury in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) where his father Mark was a member of the British South Africa Police until 1980. Paul Percy Harris (April 19, 1868 – January 27, 1947) was a Chicago, Illinois, attorney. He founded the club that became the humanitarian organisation Rotary International in 1905. Personal life Harris was born in Racine, Wisconsin, to George and Cornilia Harris. He was the couple's second child. At age three, when his family fell on hard times, Paul was moved with a sibling to Vermont to live with his paternal grandparents, Howard and Pamela Harris. He was the second son of Sir Thomas Harris, 1st Baronet, of Shropshire, whom he succeeded as 2nd Baronet in January 1628/9 after the early death of his elder brother John. Paul Harris (November 5, 1925 – May 13, 2018) was an American sculptor and lithographer. He worked in a variety of media, but is best known for his life-sized stuffed and upholstered female figures. Early life Harris was born in Orlando, Florida. His father, Julian Harris worked as a broker for an orange farmer; his mother, Dorothy Haul, died from unknown causes when he was five years old, and he lived with his maternal grandparents until 1936, when his father remarried. His father's new wife, Helga Ebsen, and her sister Vilma were both dancers. Helga taught him to dance and she encouraged his interest in art. He spent the summer of 1943 with Helga and Vilma in Pacific Palisades, California, where he went to classes at the Chouinard Art Institute and worked as a riveter at Douglas Aircraft.
