Paul Gregory (baseball)
Paul Edwin Gregory 'Pop''(June 9, 1908 – September 16, 1999) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1932 through 1933 for the Chicago White Sox. Listed at , 180 lb, he batted and threw right-handed. Born in Tomnolen, Mississippi, Paul Gregory was a three-sport star at Mississippi State University, lettering in football, basketball and baseball from 1926 to 1930. After graduating, Gregory spent thirty five years in baseball as a player and college coach. He also coached college basketball for nine years and was a World War II veteran. Gregory started his professional baseball career in 1931 with Class-A Atlanta Crackers, posting an 8–6 record and a 5.17 earned run average in 45 games (11 starts). With the White Sox in 1932 and 1933, Gregory was just 9–14 with a 4.72 ERA. Paul Gregory (lighting Designer)
Paul Gregory (born October 26, 1952) is an American lighting designer. He is the president and founder of Focus Lighting, a New York City-based architectural lighting design firm. Career Gregory designed lighting for shows at regional theaters such as The Alley Theater in Houston, Texas and Stage West in Massachusetts. He was trained in theatrical lighting at the Goodman Theater School, part of the Art Institute of Chicago, and received an MFA from the Parsons School of Design. In 1975 Gregory, along with his partner Rick Spaulding, founded Litelab Corp in Buffalo, New York. Litelab specialized in nightclub design and eventually grew to have offices in New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, and a factory in Buffalo. Gregory left Litelab in 1985 and founded Focus Lighting. Since its establishment in 1987, Focus Lighting has garnered numerous awards for architectural lighting design. Paul Gregory (August 27, 1920 – December 25, 2015) was an American film, theatre and television producer. Early life Gregory was the son of a butcher and graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1938. Career Gregory went to Hollywood where he worked as a personal assistant for clients like Horace Heidt and Carmen Cavallaro. He became friends with actor Charles Laughton and organized a successful lecture tour which Laughton made through the United States between 1949 and 1950. They earned $200,000 during this reading tour; the money worked as the basis for other projects. Gregory afterwards produced 17 Broadway plays during the 1950s and 1960s, among them ''The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial'', '' 3 for Tonight'', ''The Marriage Go-Around'' and ''Lord Pengo''. Paul Roderick Gregory (born 10 February 1941 in San Angelo, Texas) is a professor of economics at the University of Houston, Texas, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and a research fellow at the German Institute for Economic Research. He has written about Russia and the Soviet Union. He received his B. A. in 1963 and M. A. in 1964 from University of Oklahoma and his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 1969. Paul Gregory Bootkoski (born July 4, 1940) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Bootkoski served as bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey from 2002 until March 8, 2016; he was replaced by Monsignor James Checchio. Bootkoski previously served as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Newark in New Jersey from 1997 to 2002.
