Paul Grant (basketball)
Paul Edward Grant (born January 6, 1974) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Grant attended Brother Rice High School in Michigan, and played at Boston College for three seasons, but then transferred to Wisconsin for his senior year. He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten after leading the Badgers in scoring, field goal percentage, and blocked shots. He also played in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament and the Nike Desert Classic. Grant was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 20th pick in the 1997 NBA Draft. He was on the injured list for his entire rookie season because of a right midfoot sprain. He finally made his NBA debut on February 5, 1999 in a 110–92 win over the Denver Nuggets. Brian Evans (basketball)
Brian Keith Evans (born September 13, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and other leagues. A 6'8" and 220 lb forward (basketball), forward, he played high school basketball at Terre Haute, Indiana South. Evans attended Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University from 1991–96, and played for the Indiana Hoosiers, Hoosiers from 1992–96. Evans was named Big Ten MVP in 1996. He was selected with the 27th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. Terrell Brandon
Thomas Terrell Brandon (born May 20, 1970) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for three teams during his 11-year career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). A two-time All-Star, Brandon was a key starter on three NBA franchises before a series of injuries ultimately forced him to play his last game at 31 years old. Bill Curley
William Michael Curley (born May 29, 1972) is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Emerson Lions men's basketball team. Curley has two brothers and one sister, with both brothers, Matty and Mickey, having played professional basketball overseas. High school/college career A 6'9" power forward with a reputation for being a solid outside shooter in spite of his size, Curley led his Duxbury High School Green Dragons basketball team to a Massachusetts State Championship in 1989. Chris Dean Carr (born March 12, 1974) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the 2nd round (56th overall) of the 1995 NBA draft, and currently an assistant coach and director of student-athlete development for the Kansas State University women's basketball team. Carr played six seasons in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. Stephon Xavier Marbury (born February 20, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player and current head coach in the Chinese Basketball Association. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are an American professional basketball team based in Denver. The Nuggets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Western Conference Northwest Division. The team was founded as the Denver Larks in 1967 as a charter franchise of the American Basketball Association (ABA), but changed their name to Rockets before the first season. The 1997 NBA draft took place on June 25, 1997, at Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Vancouver Grizzlies had the highest probability to win the NBA draft lottery, but since they were an expansion team along with the Toronto Raptors they were not allowed to select first in this draft. Although the Boston Celtics had the second-worst record in the 1996–97 season and the best odds (36 percent) of winning the lottery with two picks, the Spurs lost David Robinson and Sean Elliott to injury early in the season, finished with the third-worst record, and subsequently won the lottery.
