Paul Goydos
Paul David Goydos (born June 20, 1964) is an American professional golfer who has played on the Ben Hogan Tour, PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. Early life Goydos was born and raised in Long Beach, California and is the youngest of three brothers. He began golfing at a very young age, winning his local course championship while still in junior high school. He attended Woodrow Wilson Classical High School, and went on to attend Long Beach State University on a golf scholarship. He graduated with a BA in finance and worked for a short time as a substitute teacher at an inner city high school. He turned pro in 1989 and started out as a struggling mini-tour player, supplementing his income by continuing to work as a substitute teacher. Regions Tradition
The Tradition (known as the Regions Tradition for sponsorship reasons) is an event on the PGA Tour Champions. First staged in 1989, the PGA Tour recognizes the event as one of the five senior major golf championships. Unlike the U.S. Senior Open, Senior PGA Championship and Senior Open Championship, it is not recognized as a major by the European Senior Tour, and is not part of that tour's official schedule. Gene Sauers
Gene Craig Sauers (born August 22, 1962) is an American professional golfer, currently playing on the PGA Tour Champions. He had three wins on the PGA Tour and overcame a deadly skin condition that kept him off the golf course for five years. He won the U.S. Senior Open in 2016, a senior major championship . Born in Savannah, Georgia, Sauers started him playing golf at the age of nine with his father. He attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, turned pro, and joined the PGA Tour in 1984. Sauers has four dozen top-10 finishes in PGA Tour events including three official wins. The 3M Championship was a professional golf tournament in Minnesota on the PGA Tour Champions, played annually at the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, a suburb north of Minneapolis. Based in Saint Paul, 3M was the main sponsor of the tournament. It debuted in 1993 as the Burnet Senior Classic, and was originally held at the Bunker Hills Golf Course in nearby Coon Rapids. After eight editions, the tournament moved to the year-old TPC Twin Cities in 2001, when 3M took over as sponsor. The purse in 2017 was $1.75 million, with a winner's share of $262,500. Colin Stuart Montgomerie, Order of the British Empire, OBE (born 23 June 1963) is a Scotland, Scottish professional golfer. The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is the final event of the season on the U.S.-based PGA Tour Champions, the world's leading golf tour for male professionals aged 50 and above. Played in late October or early November each year, it is PGA Tour Champions' equivalent of the PGA Tour's Tour Championship, and was formerly known as the Senior Tour Championship. The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is a PGA Tour Champions event in Endicott, New York. It debuted in July 2007, supplanting the B.C. Open, a former PGA Tour event from 1971 through 2006. It is sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods, founded in adjacent Binghamton. The tournament is played at the En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott in Upstate New York. En-Joie Golf Club opened in 1927 under the original design of Ernie Smith. The golf course was originally built by George F. Johnson, the owner of the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company.
