Paul Foerster
Paul Jeffrey Foerster (born November 19, 1963, in Rangely, Colorado) is an American sailor. He received All-American honors three times from the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association sailing for the University of Texas at Austin and competed at four Olympic Games in sailing: 1988, 1992, 2000, and 2004, winning total of three Olympic medals during his career. In the Flying Dutchman (FD) class he was successful with Stephen Bourdow (Silver 1992), and then in the 470 class with Bob Merrick (silver, 2000) and Kevin Burnham (gold, 2004). He now sails from Rush Creek Yacht Club in Heath, Texas, on Lake Ray Hubbard east of Dallas, Texas. Rangely is a Statutory Town in Rio Blanco County, Colorado, United States. The population was 2,365 at the 2010 census. Description The town is home to one of two campuses of the Colorado Northwestern Community College. A post office called Rangely was established in 1884. The National Sailing Hall of Fame is a nonprofit educational organization that promotes sailing and racing by recognizing individuals who have contributed to the sport, highlighting sailing's contribution to the American culture; and demonstrating its value as a hands-on tool for teaching math and science. Lake Ray Hubbard, formerly Eastern Dallas Lake or Forney Lake, is a freshwater impoundment (reservoir) located in Dallas, Texas in the counties of Dallas County, Texas, Dallas, Kaufman County, Texas, Kaufman, Collin County, Texas, Collin, and Rockwall County, Texas, Rockwall, just north of the Forney, Texas, City of Forney. It was created by the construction of the Rockwall-Forney Dam, which impounded the East Fork Trinity River (Texas), Trinity River.
