Paul Flynn (Gaelic Footballer)
Paul Flynn (born 8 July 1986) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Fingallians and, formerly, for the Dublin county team. He is from Swords, County Dublin. He has received four All Star Awards in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and represented Ireland in the Compromise Rules games in Croke Park and Cavan in 2013. He roomed with fellow DCU team-mates, Michael Murphy and Aidan Walsh. Paul Flynn was the first player to receive four consecutive All Stars in the qualifier era of second chances. Playing career Flynn made his Dublin debut when appearing as a second-half substitute in Dublin's first-round O'Byrne Cup victory over Wicklow on 5 January 2008 in Parnell Park. Flynn made his National Football League debut for Dublin against Westmeath and scored a goal in the process, helping guide his team to a first-round victory. Paul Flynn (Waterford Hurler)
Paul Flynn (born 17 December 1974) is an Irish former hurler who played as a left wing-forward at senior level for the Waterford county team. He joined the team in 1993 and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement in 2008. Flynn is Waterford's top championship scorer of all-time. He has won three Munster winners' medals, one National League winners' medal and one All-Star award. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level Flynn is a one-time Munster medalist with Ballygunner. In addition to this he has won eight county club championship medals. Also a player of association football, Flynn also won schoolboy international caps as a soccer goalkeeper will being a trainee with Aston Villa he also played a season with Waterford United in the League of Ireland. Paul Flynn is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Kildangan and has been a member of the Tipperary senior inter-county hurling team since 2017. Paul Philip Flynn (9 February 1935 – 17 February 2019) was a British Labour Party (UK), Labour Party politician who served as Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for Newport West (UK Parliament constituency), Newport West from the 1987 United Kingdom general election, 1987 general election until his death in 2019. He briefly served as Shadow Secretary of State for Wales and Shadow Leader of the House of Commons in 2016, becoming the oldest MP to hold a Shadow Cabinet position (aged 81). Paul Augustin Flinn (September 11, 1895 – December 23, 1980) was an American football player. Flinn was born in 1895 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He attended Central High School in Duluth, Minnesota. He played college football as an end for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in 1915 and 1916. While playing for the 1916 Minnesota Golden Gophers football team, he along with Bert Baston and Pudge Wyman was credited with giving "the most amazing exhibition of the air game ever witnessed on a Western conference gridiron." He studied forestry while at the university but his time there was interrupted by service in the Army during World War I.
