Paul Flanagan
Paul Flanagan (born 16 September 1992) is an Irish hurler. At club he plays with Ballyea, while he has also lined out at inter-county level with various Clare teams. Playing career Flanagan first played hurling to a high standard as a student at St. Flannan's College in Ennis. He lined out for the college in all grades, including the Harty Cup. He later played with the University of Limerick in the Fitzgibbon Cup. At club level, Flanagan first played hurling at underage levels with Ballyea, while he also played Gaelic football with Clondegad. He enjoyed success as a minor hurler, before later being a dual medal-winner in the under-21 grades. At adult level, Flanagan has also won a Clare IFC medal and four Clare SHC medals. The University of Limerick (UL) ( ga, Ollscoil Luimnigh) is a Public university, public research university institution in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. 2016–17 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship
The 2016–17 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 47th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship since it began in the 1970–71 season. It is the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club hurling tournament. The winners receive the Tommy Moore Cup. The championship began on 2 October 2016 and ended on 17 March 2017. On 17 March 2017, Cuala won the championship following a 2–19 to 1–10 defeat of Ballyea in the All-Ireland final. This was their first All-Ireland title and a first title for a Dublin club. Cuala's David Treacy was the championship's top scorer with 0-39. Na Piarsaigh were the 2015-16 champions. They failed to make it out of the group stage of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship. Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship
The Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964 for the champion hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. Dr Croke Cup
The Dr Croke Cup is the trophy presented to the winner of the All Ireland Secondary Schools Senior "A" hurling championship. Before that it was an inter-county GAA competition in hurling. The first Croke Cups (which included hurling and Gaelic football) took place between 1896 and 1915. Clare was the first winner of the Dr Croke Cup for hurling in 1896. Ardscoil Rís is a voluntary, all-boys, Roman Catholic secondary school in Limerick, Ireland. Located on the North Circular Road, its catchment area includes neighbourhoods on the northside of Limerick such as Caherdavin, Mayorstone and Clareview though many students commute from other areas of the city as well as surrounding rural areas. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league.
