Paul Evans (Australian Footballer)
Paul Evans (born 29 December 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Port Adelaide Football Club, Port Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL) and South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Evans played in Port Adelaide's SANFL junior teams and was a member of the South Australian team that won the AFL Under 18 Championships, Teal Cup in 1995, kicking eight goals in the final against Vic Metro. Evans was selected by Port Adelaide's AFL team as a zonal selection in the 1996 AFL Draft, forming their inaugural AFL squad for the 1997 AFL season, 1997 season, but did not make any appearances 1997 AFL season, that year. Paul Evans Aidoo
Paul Evans Aidoo (born 4 August 1958) is a Ghanaian teacher and politician. He is the Member of Parliament for Sefwi-Wiawso and is the Minister for the Western Region of Ghana. Prior to heading the Western Region, he was the Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister. He has been condemned for "promoting hatred" by Ghana's Centre for Popular Education and Human Rights after the minister urged people to report suspected homosexuals. "All efforts are being made to get rid of these people in the society," he said. Haven Today is a national broadcast Christian radio program. The radio program was founded in 1934 as The Haven of Rest by Paul Myers, who became a radio personality known for Christian ministry. The program has had four hosts: Myers, Paul Evans, Raymond C. Ortlund Sr., and Charles Morris. The daily broadcast is currently on over 600 stations in North America and overseas. History Paul Myers credited the founding of ''Haven'' to hitting rock bottom: kicked out by his wife and passed out on a beach during a drunken bender, he was awakened by a ship's bell; back at his hotel, he opened a Gideon Bible and felt called to ministry. Air Marshal Christopher Paul Anthony Evans, (born 1954) is a former senior Royal Air Force officer and medical doctor. He served as Surgeon General of the British Armed Forces from 2012 to 2015. Early life Evans was born in 1954. He graduated from the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1978 Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Military career On 18 November 1975, Evans was commissioned into the Medical Branch of the Royal Air Force as a pilot officer. He was given the service number 5203329. On 13 July 1978, he was promoted to flying officer, following his qualification as a medical doctor. On 1 August 1979, he was promoted to flight lieutenant. His first postings were as a junior medical officer at RAF Wyton and the RAF Hospitals at Ely, Cambridgeshire, Nocton Hall and RAF Halton. He was appointed a senior medical officer in 1983. Paul Evans (born March 5, 1938) is an American rock and roll singer and songwriter, who was most prominent in the 1950s and 1960s. As a performer, he had hits with the songs "Seven Little Girls Sitting in the Backseat" (his biggest hit, recorded with The Curls), reaching No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1959), " Midnight Special" and "Happy-Go-Lucky Me". Evans had a sizeable hit in the UK and Australia in 1978–79 with the morbid country song "Hello, This Is Joanie" (as it was titled on the New Zealand pressing released by Polydor Records) or, as it was known on a Spring Records release, "Hello, This is Joannie (The Telephone Answering Machine Song)". In a 2004 interview Evans revealed that the voice of Joannie was provided by country artist Lea Jane Berinati. Doc Evans
Paul Wesley "Doc" Evans (June 20, 1907 – January 10, 1977) was an American jazz cornetist. Evans was born in Spring Valley, Minnesota. the son of a Methodist minister. He learned piano and drums as a child, and played saxophone in high school. He graduated from Carleton College with a B.A. in English, and played with the Carleton Collegians dance band there. He gave up saxophone in the late 1920s for cornet, and played Dixieland jazz regularly in Minneapolis at that time. Evans continued to play through the Great Depression, turning down offers to play outside of the Midwest. In 1947, he led the band that played for the opening of Chicago's Jazz, Ltd. club upon being persuaded by clarinetist Bill Reinhardt. He worked in Chicago until 1952, and then embarked on nationwide tours, recording frequently along the way. Paul C. Evans (born January 31, 1945) is a former American head coach of men's college basketball. Paul Evans was noted for running a "power offense" with emphasis on distributing the ball through centers and power forwards. His tenures at Navy and Pittsburgh was notable for the development of quality big men such as David Robinson, Charles Smith, Jerome Lane, Brian Shorter, Bobby Martin, Darren Morningstar, and Eric Mobley. He coached at Division III St. Lawrence University for seven season guiding them to six ICAC Conference Championships and five NCAA Division III post-season appearances, including two regional finals. He went on to coach at Navy for six seasons and an overall 199–60 (.665) record which included a cinderella appearance in the 1986 Elite Eight led by star center Robinson.
