Paul Deng Jizhou
Paul Deng Jizhou ( zh, s=邓及洲, t=鄧及洲, p=Dèng Jízhōu; November 9, 1905 – August 10, 1990) was a Sichuanese Roman Catholic priest and Bishop of the Diocese of Jiading between 1949 and 1990. Biography Deng was born on November 9, 1905. He was ordained a priest on February 9, 1936, and appointed Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jiading on June 9, 1949. The bishop's ceremony followed on September 21, 1949, with Archbishop of Chongqing as Chief Consulator, shortly before the Communists state was established on October 1 of that same year. He was one of the six Chinese bishops appointed by the Holy See in the same year. Matthew Luo Duxi (1919 – December 4, 2009) was the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association bishop of the Diocese of Jiading in Leshan, Sichuan, China. Matthias Duan Yinming ( zh, s=段荫明, t=段蔭明; 22 February 1908 - 10 January 2001) was a Sichuanese Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Wanxian, China. Biography Duan was born in Dachuan District, Dazhou, Sichuan, on February 22, 1908, to a Catholic family, during the late Qing dynasty. He went to study at Pontifical Urban University in Rome in 1935. He was ordained a priest in 1938. In 1944, he was appointed president of the Shiguang Catholic Church. Ignatius Pi Shushi (; 1 February 1897 - 16 May 1978) was a Chinese Roman Catholic Bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Liaoning, China. Ignatius Kung Pin-Mei
Ignatius Kung Pin-Mei (; 2 August 1901 – 12 March 2000) was the Catholic Bishop of Shanghai, China, from 1950 until his death in 2000. He spent 30 years in Chinese prisons for defying attempts by China's Communist government to control Catholics in the country through the government-approved Catholic Patriotic Association. At the time of his death he was the oldest member of the College of Cardinals. Melchior Zhang Kexing (; 6 January 1914 – 6 November 1988) was a Chinese Catholic priest and Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Xiwanzi between 1951 and 1988. Biography Melchior Zhang Kexing was born into a wealthy family in Xiwanzi of Zhangjiakou, Chahar province, on 6 January 1914. He was ordained a priest on 18 March 1939. He became Auxiliary Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Xiwanzi on 3 November 1949. On 24 May 1951, Bishop Leon-Jean-Marie De Smedt of Belgium held a consecration ceremony for him.
