Robert Paul ''"Eskimo"'' Clark (born June 2, 1947 in Stockton, Missouri, died April 15, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada) was an American professional poker player who lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. Life and career Robert Paul Clark grew up in Stockton, MO, one of seven brothers and sisters. Before turning to poker, Eskimo Clark was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he worked as a dental assistant. Clark first finished in the money at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the 1988 limit omaha event. He has also made money finishes in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em main event in 1997 (19th) and 1998 (25th) where he was eliminated with pocket aces. In 2003, Clark won the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event of the Bellagio's Five Diamond World Poker Classic, earning a $160,095 prize by defeating a final table including Erik Seidel, Chris Karagulleyan, Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott, Johnny Chan and Huck Seed. The World Poker Tour (WPT) is an internationally televised gaming and entertainment brand. Since 2002, the World Poker Tour has operated a series of international poker tournaments and associated television series broadcasting playdown and the final table of each tournament. The most prominent of World Poker Tour events belong to the WPT Main Tour. The WPT Main Tour focuses on the buy-in range of $3,500-$25,000, and winners of official WPT Main Tour events are awarded a membership to the WPT Champions Club. Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel (born November 6, 1959) is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada, who has won nine World Series of Poker bracelets and a World Poker Tour title. In 2010, he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. Early life Seidel was born in New York City. He played professional backgammon in his youth. He eventually became a trader on the American stock exchange stock market, and then moved on to poker. Seidel was one of the group of now famous players from the former Mayfair Club in New York City, including Stu Ungar, Jay Heimowitz, Mickey Appleman, Howard Lederer, Jason Lester, Steve Zolotow, Paul Magriel, and Dan Harrington. The 2002 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was held at Binion's Horseshoe. The 2002 WSOP was historically notable for two reasons. Razz (poker)
Razz is a form of stud poker that is normally played for ace-to-five low (lowball poker). It is one of the oldest forms of poker, and has been played since the start of the 20th century. It emerged around the time people started using the 52-card deck instead of 20 for poker. The object of Razz is to make the lowest possible five-card hand from the seven cards you are dealt. In Razz, straights and flushes do not count against the player for low, and the ace always plays low. Thus, the best possible Razz hand is 5-4-3-2-A, or 5 high, also known as "the wheel" or "the bicycle". Deuce-to-seven Razz is also sometimes played (the best possible hand is 2-3-4-5-7). Huckleberry ''Huck'' Seed (born January 15, 1969) is an American professional poker player best known for winning the Main Event of the 1996 World Series of Poker. Early life Seed was born in Santa Clara, California, but grew up in Corvallis, Montana, where he attended Corvallis High School. He was a member of the 1987 Montana All-State basketball team. Seed was an electrical engineering student at California Institute of Technology and a member of Fleming House. He took a leave of absence in 1989, started playing poker, and never returned to college. Seed was a star player on Caltech's basketball team and is featured in the 2006 documentary ''Quantum Hoops''.
