Paul Chambers (footballer)
Paul Chambers (born 23 June 1982) is an Australian rules footballer with the Werribee Football Club in the Victorian Football League, who formerly played for the AFL's Geelong Football Club and Sydney Swans. He was promoted off Geelong's rookie list in 2002 before making his debut in Round 4 of that year against St Kilda. He was traded to the Sydney Swans at the end of the 2005 season in exchange for pick 35 ( Stephen Owen.) Melton South Football and Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Panthers'', is an Australian rules football and netball club located in Melton. The football squad competes in the Ballarat Football League which is part of the Victorian Country Football League. They have cross town rivals in the Melton Football Club. History The club was formed in 1973 and commenced in the Riddell District Football League. The Bacchus March FL and the Ballarat & District FL had merged but the club with its cross town rival Melton opted to join the Riddell District Football League. In 1997, the stronger clubs ( Darley, Melton, Melton South,& Sunbury) of the Riddell District Football League were transferred to the Ballarat Football League. 2006 AFL Season
The 2006 AFL season was the 110th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured sixteen clubs, ran from 30 March until 30 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Essendon Football Club
The Essendon Football Club, nicknamed the Bombers, is a professional Australian rules football club. The club plays in the Australian Football League (AFL), the game's premier competition. The club was formed by the McCracken family in their Ascot Vale, Victoria, Ascot Vale home "Alisa", and while the exact date is unknown, it is generally accepted to have been in 1872. The club’s first recorded game took place on 7 June 1873 against a Carlton Second 20. Western Jets
The Western Jets is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Victorian premier U19 competition, the NAB League, since its inception in 1992. The club have developmental squads in the U16, however much of the attention is towards its U18 team. The club is geographically set in Melbourne's West as part of a decision by AFL Victoria (formerly Football Victoria) to have clubs in all regions of the state. The club trains in Melbourne's inner west at Crofts Reserve in Altona North and plays NAB League matches at Burbank Oval in Williamstown.
