Paul C. Broun
Paul Collins Broun Jr. (born May 14, 1946) is an American physician and politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2007 to 2015. He is a member of the Republican Party and was a member of the Tea Party Caucus. Broun unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Saxby Chambliss in the 2014 election. In 2020, he unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination to represent – a seat he contested once before in 2016 – coming in fourth. Early life and education Broun was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Gertrude Margaret (née Beasley) and Democratic Georgia state senator Paul C. Broun (1916–2005), who represented Athens and the surrounding area from 1963 to 2001. His paternal grandfather was a minister. Paul Brown (Georgia Politician)
Paul Brown (March 31, 1880 – September 24, 1961) was an American politician and lawyer, who served in the United States House of Representatives. Brown was born in Hartwell, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in 1901. He was admitted to the state bar in that year and began practicing law in Lexington, Georgia. He farmed and also served as the Mayor of Lexington from 1908 to 1914. Brown served in the Georgia House of Representatives in 1907 and 1908. In 1920, Brown moved to Elberton, Georgia in Elbert County and served as that county's attorney from 1928 to 1933. In 1932, he was a delegate to the 1932 Democratic National Convention. A house call is medical consultation performed by a doctor or other healthcare professionals visiting the home of a patient or client, instead of the patient visiting the doctor's clinic or hospital. Residency or postgraduate training is specifically a stage of graduate medical education. Clarke Central High School
Clarke Central High School (CCHS) is located in Athens, Georgia, United States. In 1970, Clarke County schools were desegregated, and the high school for black children, Burney-Harris High School (formerly Athens High and Industrial School), and the high school for white children, Athens High, merged to establish Clarke Central. Classes in the newly formed school began in 1971. CCHS is in the Clarke County School District and is one of two traditional high schools in the county; the other is Cedar Shoals High School.
