Paul Browne (hurler)
Paul Browne (born 21 September 1989) is an Irish hurler who plays for Premier Intermediate Championship club Bruff. He played for the Limerick senior hurling team for 11 seasons, during which time he usually lined out at midfield. Browne lined out for Limerick in three different grades of hurling over a 12-year period. After making his first appearance for the minor team in June 2007, he later had an unsuccessful three-year stint with the under-21 team. Browne made his competitive debut for the senior team aged 19 in 2009. From his debut, he was ever-present as a midfielder and made a combined total of 91 National League and Championship appearances in a career that ended with his last game in 2018. During that time, Browne was vice-captain of the All-Ireland Championship-winning team in 2018. He also secured two Munster Championship medals and a National League Division 2 medal. Bruff
Bruff () is a town in east County Limerick, in the midwest of Ireland, located on the old Limerick–Cork road ( R512). The town lies on the Morning Star river, with two bridges in the town itself. 2011 National Hurling League
The 2011 National Hurling League (known as the Allianz Hurling League for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th season of the National Hurling League. Ticket prices In January 2011, the GAA announced a reduction in ticket prices for the 2011 National Hurling League. The decision to cut prices was announced at a Central Council meeting and will see the cost of admission to a league game in the first division of the NHL dropping from €15 to €13, with a €5 admission to lower-level hurling games. Division 1 Galway came into the season as defending champions of the 2010 season. Wexford entered Division 1 as the promoted team. On 1 May 2011, Dublin won the title following a 0–22 to 1–7 win over Kilkenny in the final. It was their first league title since 1938–39 and their 3rd National League title overall. The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 132nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2019 fixtures took place on 11 October 2018. The championship began on 11 May 2019 and concluded on 18 August 2019. Limerick were the defending champions. Carlow returned to the Leinster Championship for the first time since 2016, replacing Offaly who were relegated in 2018. Carlow lost all their four games in 2019 and were automatically relegated to the 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup. Tipperary were the winners, defeating Kilkenny in the final. The 2013 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 126th staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2013 fixtures took place on 4 October 2012. The championship began on 5 May 2013 and ended on 28 September 2013 with Clare winning their fourth All Ireland title after a 5–16 to 3–16 win against Cork in the replayed final. Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny were the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final, defending champions. However, they were knocked out of the Leinster Championship by eventual Leinster champions Dublin GAA, Dublin at the semi-final stage and Cork saw them off in the All-Ireland quarter-final. Railway Cup
The GAA Interprovincial Championship ( ga, An Corn Idir-Chúigeach) or Railway Cup (''Corn an Iarnróid'') is the name of two annual Gaelic football and hurling competitions held between the provinces of Ireland. The Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster GAA teams are composed of the best players from the counties in each province. The games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The Railway Cup was a revival of the Railway Shield which ran from 1905 to 1907 (football) and from 1905 to 1908 (hurling). The first Railway Cup competitions (the name is due to the donation of the trophy by Irish Rail) were held in 1927, with Munster winning the first football title and Leinster winning the first hurling title. 2019 National Hurling League
The 2019 National Hurling League is the 88th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Kilkenny were the defending champions, having won the 2018 league. The GAA announced a new broadcast agreement on 10 January 2019 that runs from 2019 until 2022. Eir Sport and RTÉ provide live TV coverage of the league on Saturday nights. TG4 broadcast Sunday afternoon games. The highlights programmes are RTÉ2's ''League Sunday'' on Sunday evenings, TG4's ''GAA 2019'' on Monday evenings and Eir Sport's Allianz Leagues Reloaded on Wednesday evenings.
