Paul Brennan (Canadian Musician)
Paul Brennan is a Canadian musician. A drummer, Brennan has been a member of Big Electric Cat, the Animal Slaves, Odds (band), Odds and Big Sugar (band), Big Sugar. He has also contributed as a guest musician on albums by Meryn Cadell, Sarah McLachlan, Taste of Joy, Julie Ann Bertram and Mae Moore. He is currently playing with Alannah Myles and Ellis Meek and performing locally in Toronto. Career Brennan was a founding member of the Vancouver band Odds in 1987; the same musicians also performed cover tunes locally under the name Dawn Patrol. Odds recorded their first album, ''Neapolitan'', in 1991; a single from the album, "Love is the Subject", appeared on local radio charts. In 1992 the band toured as the backup band for American rock singer Warren Zevon. By 1994, Brennan had left the odds, although he continued to perform in Dawn Patrol. Paul Brennan (Northern Ireland Musician)
Paul Brennan is a traditional musician from County Down, Northern Ireland who has lived in London for a number of years. As well as this he also taught in a primary school based in West London called Willow Tree Primary School. Brennan co-founded the Belfast School of Piping. Since moving to London he has formed three working bands: *Carrig ( Irish traditional) * Orchestrad (17th/18th-century Irish harp-tune ensemble) *Paul Brennan Band (Irish covers in a rock style) Brennan is one of London's leading session musicians and live performers. As well as advertising and television work he has worked on film music for such composers and directors as Merchant Ivory, Neil Jordan, George Fenton, James Horner, Trevor Jones, Howard Shore and Disney. Pól Brennan
Pól Brennan ( ga, Pól Ó Braonáin, ; born 22 April 1956) is an Irish singer, songwriter and producer. He is the brother of Enya, Moya Brennan, Brídín Brennan and Ciarán Brennan. He is a member of the family band Clannad, and co-wrote the hit song "Theme from Harry's Game". He left the group in 1990, but rejoined in 2011. Since the early 1990s, Pól has gained critical acclaim as a solo artist when he joined Japanese musician Joji Hirota and Chinese musician Guo Yue, and released an album, ''Trísan''. The music on this album is a mixture of Celtic and Japanese musical styles. More recently, Pól wrote the soundtrack of the movie ''When the Sky Falls'' (1999) and performed at the 2001 Carnvaha festival in Wexford, Ireland. He also produced music for the 2018 film ''Penance''. He has toured extensively all over the world and is also joined by many popular artists. Paul Brennan (academic)
Paul Brennan (1939-2003) was an Irish scholar and journal founder and editor. Life Paul Brennan was born in County Roscommon in Ireland in 1939 and died in 2003. After earning a BA in History from NUI Galway, Brennan left Ireland for France in 1963 and read for an English degree at the Sorbonne. He lived in Paris, meeting his wife Nicole in 1965. In May 1968, they both took part in the student protests in Paris. In 1969 was appointed as a lecturer in the English department at the Sorbonne, later dividing his time between the departments of Irish Studies at Caen University in Normandy, which he headed, and at the Paris III campus of the Sorbonne Nouvelle university. He created a journal called ''L’Irlande politique et sociale'' and for years was co-editor of ''Etudes irlandaises''. Paul Brennan (born 1988/89) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Réalt na Mara and the Donegal county team. He is not related to Jamie, with whom he has lined out for club and county. Playing career Brennan was involved with club football in Donegal, and won a Donegal Intermediate Football Championship with Réalt na Mara in 2015.
