Paul Berry (animator)
Paul Thomas Berry (13 March 1961 – 26 June 2001) was a British stop-motion animator who first worked on Cosgrove Hall's ''Wind In The Willows'' before directing the 1991 Oscar-nominated short horror stop-motion animation film '' The Sandman''. In 1992 the film was awarded the Craft Prize for Best Animation at Ottawa International Animation Festival. Cosgrove Hall Films (also known as Cosgrove Hall Productions) was an English animation studio founded by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall; its headquarters was in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. Cosgrove Hall was once a major producer of children's television and animated programmes/films; Cosgrove Hall's programmes are still seen in over eighty countries. ''The Wind in the Willows'' is a 1983 British stop motion animated film produced by Cosgrove Hall Films (the same team behind Truckers) for Thames Television and aired on the ITV network. The film is based on Kenneth Grahame's classic 1908 novel ''The Wind in the Willows''. It won a BAFTA award and an international Emmy award. Between 1984 and 1990, Cosgrove-Hall subsequently made a 52-episode television series, with the film serving as a pilot. Ottawa International Animation Festival
The Ottawa International Animation Festival is an annual animated film and media festival that takes place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The OIAF was founded in 1975, with the first festival held from August 10 to 15 in 1976. Initially organized by the Canadian Film Institute on a biennial basis and with the co-operation of the International Animated Film Association, the Festival organization now remains in the hands of the CFI. It moved from a biennial to an annual festival in 2005. "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" is a song written and performed by the Charlie Daniels, Charlie Daniels Band and released on their 1979 album ''Million Mile Reflections''. The song is written in the key of D minor. Vassar Clements originally wrote the basic melody an octave lower, in a tune called "Lonesome Fiddle Blues" released on Clements' self-titled 1975 album on which Charlie Daniels played guitar.
