Paul Alappatt
Mar Paul Alappatt (born 21 April 1962) is an Indian-born bishop of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in India. He currently serves as the Eparch of Syro Malabar Eparchy of Ramanathapuram since 2010. Early life and priesthood Mar Paul Alappatt was born to Varunny and Eliakutty Alappatt in Edathiruthy, Kerala on April 21, 1962. He attended Primary and Junior Schooling in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Archeparchy of Thrissur before he joined St. Mary's Minor Seminary on June 19, 1977, to begin his priestly formation. He then proceeded to go to the St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary in Kottayam for his Formation in Philosophical and Theological Studies. During his Seminary Formation, he also attended Osmania University. He was ordained on December 27, 1987, by Joseph Kundukulam as a priest for Thrissur. The Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Ramanathapuram is situated in Ramanathapuram locality in Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu. The eparchy includes Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and Karur districts. Its territory is extended to Salem and Trichy on 10-10-2017. The eparchy of Ramanathapuram was created in 2010 by bifurcating the Syro-Malabar Catholic eparchy of Palghat. Euphrasia Eluvathingal
''Euphrasia'', or eyebright, is a genus of about 450 species of herbaceous flowering plants in the family Orobanchaceae (formerly included in the Scrophulariaceae), with a cosmopolitan distribution. They are semi-parasitic on grasses and other plants. The common name refers to the plant's use in treating eye infections. Many species are found in alpine or sub-alpine meadows where snow is common. Flowers usually are borne terminally, are zygomorphic, and have a lower petal shaped like a lip. The most common flower colours are purple, blue-white, and violet. Some species have yellow markings on the lower petal to act as a guide to pollinating insects. Joseph Vithayathil was a priest from India who has been declared as Venerable by the Catholic Church. He was born in Puthenpally, Varapuzha, Ernakulam District of Kerala State of India to Catholic parents of the Vithayathil family on 23 July 1865. He had two brothers and two sisters. Augustine John Ukken
Augustine John Ukken was a Syrian Catholic (Syro-Malabar Catholic) priest from the Indian state of Kerala in Thrissur and the founder of the Congregation of Sisters of Charity (CSC). Early life Augustine John Ukken was born in Thoyyakkavu in Thrissur district on 19 December 1880 as the second son of Punnaparambil Ukken Anthappan and Chalakkal Annamma, both of whom died by the time Augustine was the age of six. The local parish priest provided the boy shelter and an education in the upper primary school. Around 1895 Bishop Adolphus Medlycott had Augustine enrolled at the Minor Seminary in Trichur to complete his education. Jacob Manathodath (; born 22 February 1947) is a former Bishop of Palghat. Briefly he also served as the Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam, India. Biography Jacob Manathodath was born on 22 February 1947 in Kodamthuruthu, one of seven children born to Kurian and Kathreena. He attended the L.P. School, Kodamthuruthu, the E.C.E.K.
