Paudie Kissane
Paudie Kissane (born 1 March 1980) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played as a left wing-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Whitechurch, County Cork, Kissane arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of eighteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later joining the under-21 and junior sides. He made his debut in the 2002 National Football League. Kissane went on to play a key part on and off the team for over a decade, and won one All-Ireland medal, two Munster medals and three National Football League medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Kissane represented the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions throughout his career. At club level he began his career with Whitechurch before later winning a premier intermediate championship medal with Clyda Rovers. Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. It is located in the south-west of Ireland, in the province of Munster. Following an extension to the city's boundary in 2019, its population is over 222,000. Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship
The Munster Football Intermediate Club Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 2003 for the top intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is sponsored by Allied Irish Bank and therefore officially known as the AIB Munster GAA Football Intermediate Club Championship. The series of games are played during the autumn and winter months with the Munster final currently being played in late November. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the series. The Munster Championship is an integral part of the wider All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship. The winners of the Munster final join the champions of Connacht, Leinster and Ulster in the semi-final stages of the All-Ireland series of games. Munster Junior Football Championship
The Munster Junior Football Championship is a gaelic football tournament between the six counties of Munster: Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Waterford. It is the third-tier county teams playing off in a single-elimination tournament with 2 quarter finals instead of 4 (as of 2014). The cup was first given to the winners in 1957. Kerry have won the most titles, 42 in all. The winner will play against the champions of the other provinces in the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship. All-Ireland Junior Football Championship
The All-Ireland Junior Football Championship is a GAA competition involving four Junior Gaelic football inter-county teams. Prior to a change in competition structure in 2021, the competition was previously for all Junior Gaelic football inter-county teams in Ireland. In this previous format, the definition of what constituted a Junior player differed from county to county. In some, the junior team was the second team after the senior team. This meant that any players who had not played with the senior team could play with the junior team. In others, such as Cork and Kerry, players could only be chosen from clubs that played in junior or intermediate grades. These counties could not choose players from senior clubs, even if they were not on the senior county team. When a team won this championship, it had to pick a new team for the following year.
