''Patty Griffin'' is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Patty Griffin. On November 20, 2019 it was announced that the album was nominated for Folk Album of the Year at the 62nd Grammy Awards. The album was released on March 8, 2019, and follows a four-year hiatus that Griffin took while battling breast cancer following her 2015 album ''Servant of Love''. ''Patty Griffin'' won the Best Folk Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards. Promotion "River" was released as the album's first single on January 11, 2019. Of the song, Griffin explained "it's one of the last songs I wrote for this record. We recorded it over about a year's time. I had been spending a lot of time with this song that Leon Russell wrote and Donny Hathaway recorded in the Seventies called 'A Song for You.' Lindsey Verrill (born March 13, 1982) is an American avant-garde multi-instrumentalist from Dallas, Texas who currently lives in Austin, Texas. Music career Largely self-taught on cello and upright bass before studying music at the University of North Texas in Denton, Verrill became a key component across a number of indie bands in Austin as well as a founding member of the Austin-based Annie Street Arts Collective. Robert Plant
Robert Anthony Plant (born 20 August 1948) is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the English rock band Led Zeppelin for all of its existence from 1968 until 1980, when the band broke up following the death of John Bonham, the band's drummer. Thor Harris (born February 7, 1965) is an artist, sculptor, musician, painter, carpenter and handyman. He was the percussionist for Swans (2010–2016). He has performed with Shearwater (2001–2010), Bill Callahan, The Angels of Light, Lisa Germano, Yonatan Gat, Gretchen Phillips, Devendra Banhart, Rebecca Cannon, Xiu Xiu, Flock of Dimes & Amanda Palmer, Whalesong, and the Grand Theft Orchestra.
