Patti Ann Browne
Patti Ann Browne (born September 10, 1965) is an American news anchor and reporter best known for her work with Fox News Channel from 2000 to 2018. Education Browne has a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Fordham University in New York City. Browne was editor of Fordham's literary magazine ''Alternative Motifs''. While at Fordham, Browne worked for ''Newsweek Magazine'' part-time for four years, and was an intern for Joan Lunden's syndicated weekly television show on parenting called "Mother’s Day" (later "Every Day"). She co-hosted a popular Irish music program on Fordham's far-reaching radio station WFUV-FM (90.7FM). She was also news anchor and News Director of that 50,000-watt station. Bayside is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. It is bounded by Whitestone to the northwest, the Long Island Sound and Little Neck Bay to the northeast, Douglaston to the east, Oakland Gardens to the south, and Fresh Meadows to the west. 1993 Long Island Rail Road Shooting
The 1993 Long Island Rail Road shooting occurred on December 7, 1993, aboard a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train in Garden City Park, New York. As the train arrived at Merillon Avenue station, passenger Colin Ferguson began firing at other passengers with a semi-automatic pistol. Six of the victims were killed and nineteen others were wounded before Ferguson was tackled and held down by other passengers on the train. Ferguson's trial was noted for a number of unusual developments, including his dismissing his defense counsel, insisting on representing himself and questioning his victims on the stand. He was convicted in February 1995 on six counts of murder and nineteen counts of attempted murder.
