Pattern-Seeking Animals
Pattern-Seeking Animals is an American progressive rock supergroup formed in 2018 by Ted Leonard, Dave Meros, John Boegehold and Jimmy Keegan; all of whom are current and former members and collaborators of fellow progressive rock ensemble Spock's Beard. Name About the band's name, Leonard said in an interview: History The band was put together to perform some music that Boegehold had been writing in 2018, with Leonard and Meros co-writing some of the material. They eventually agreed to turn it into a band and now intend to release one album every year and go on tour with additional session musicians. After signing with Inside Out Music, the band released its first, self-titled album on July 5, 2019. The second album, ''Prehensile Tales'', came out less than a year later, on May 15, 2020, and was positively reviewed by ''Prog''. ''Noise Floor'' is the thirteenth studio album by American progressive rock band Spock's Beard. It is the band's first full album of original material to feature original drummer Nick D'Virgilio since '' X'' in 2010, although this time D'Virgilio is only as a session musician. D'Virgilio had previously recorded a new song with the band for the compilation album '' The First Twenty Years'' and a bonus track for the band's previous album '' The Oblivion Particle'', both released in 2015. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Charity supergroups, in which prominent musicians perform or record together in support of a particular cause, have been common since the 1980s. The term is most common context of rock and pop music, but it has occasionally been applied to other musical genres. Jimmy Keegan
James E. Keegan (born November 3, 1969) is an American drummer and voice actor. He has played with artists such as Santana, as the drummer on the song "Primavera" on Santana's hit album '' Supernatural'' and with John Waite. He was the drummer for the progressive rock band Spock's Beard, having replaced original drummer Nick D'Virgilio in November 2011. Before joining Spock's Beard, Keegan was their touring drummer since 2003, when D'Virgilio picked up the frontman and main singer role during live performances. Keegan was a member of Spock's Beard for five years, until he left in October 2016. Keegan is now the drummer of the progressive rock band Pattern-Seeking Animals. Acting/Voiceover career According to an interview with Keegan, he did acting and voiceover work as a child. His credits included ''G.I. Joe'', ''The Littles'', and ''Over The Top''.
