Patryk Małecki (handballer)
Patryk Adrian Małecki (; born 1 August 1988) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Avia Świdnik. Club career Małecki made his Wisła Kraków and Ekstraklasa debut on 10 September 2006 in a 0–0 draw against Pogoń Szczecin. He scored his first goal against Górnik Zabrze in the 82nd minute to make the final score 4–0 for Wisla. He was in very good form and was expected to play alongside Paweł Brożek in the attack for Wisła Kraków. However, an injury sidelined him for the rest of the season. During the 2008–09 season, he became a regular in Wisła's starting eleven playing on the right wing, replacing Wojciech Łobodziński. He was chosen as the revelation of the year 2009 and most promising player for Euro 2012 by Ekstraklasa players. Suwałki ( lt, Suvalkai; yi, סואוואַלק) is a city in northeastern Poland with a population of 69,206 (2021). It is the capital of Suwałki County and one of the most important centers of commerce in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Suwałki is the largest city and the capital of the historical Suwałki Region. 2008–09 Ekstraklasa
The 2008–09 Ekstraklasa was the seventy-fifth season of top-tier football in Poland. It began on 8 August 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. The season was originally scheduled to start on 25 July 2008. However, the first two rounds of games were postponed because of legal uncertainties about the number of teams in the competition following an association-wide corruption scandal. Wisła Kraków won the league for the second time in a row and for the 12th time in their history after defeating Śląsk Wrocław 2–0 in the final match of the season. Legia Warsaw finished as runners-up and qualified for the second qualifying round of 2009–10 UEFA Europa League. The 2007–08 Ekstraklasa started in July 2007 and ended in mid-May 2008. It was run by the Ekstraklasa SA. The Polish Champion will qualify for the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The runner-up and winner of the Polish Cup will qualify for the UEFA Cup first qualifying round. The third placed team will qualify for the second round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup. The ''Piłka Nożna'' Magazine Plebiscite ( pl, Plebiscyt Piłki Nożnej) is an annual plebiscite organized by the magazine journalists of ''Piłka Nożna'' (literally "Foot Ball"), the Polish football magazine. Participants choose the best player, best newcomer, best team, best coach and best foreign player in Polish football. The title of Polish Footballer of the Year has been awarded in Poland since 1973. The first player to be crowned was Kazimierz Deyna, midfielder for Legia Warsaw, while Mirosław Bulzacki was best newcomer. In 1982, Zbigniew Boniek became the first Polish footballer in a foreign club to receive this distinction. The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2012 or simply Euro 2012, was the 14th European Championship for men's national football teams organised by UEFA. Wojciech Łobodziński
Wojciech Łobodziński (; born 20 October 1982) is a Polish football manager and a former player who played as a midfielder, currently in charge of I liga club Arka Gdynia. Club career Łobodziński started playing football with Zawisza Bydgoszcz. In 1999, he joined Stomil Olsztyn where he made a debut in the Ekstraklasa. Subsequently, Łobodziński moved to Wisła Płock where he played until 2003. Then he played for Zagłębie Lubin and helped the team win Ekstraklasa championship in 2006–07 season.
